About IEO Exam :
Class 1 : The actual test paper consists of 35 questions.
Time allowed : 60 minutes.
There are 3 sections:
Section-I: Word and Structure Knowledge
Section-II: Reading
Section-III:Spoken and Written Expression
Syllabus :
Jumbled Words, Words and Their Meanings, Words and Their Opposites, Identify the Word From the Picture, Making a Word, Feminine and Masculine, One and Many, Word Pairs, Odd One Out, Animals and Their Babies, Nouns, Verbs, Articles
How to Participate :
Registration of Students :
** The event is open to the students of classes 1st to 12th and registrations are received from the schools in the prescribed pro-forma.
** Registration sheet for the school / students and the information booklet are posted to the schools all over India and abroad.
** Foundation will register your school and the students as per the SRF (School Registration Form), SRS (Student Registration Sheets) and the registration fees received and dispatch question papers and guidelines for conducting the examination.
** Principals / teachers may please note that any school can be registered as a centre for IEO.
** No fee is required from the institution to become a registered examination Centre.
** Minimum of 10 students need to be registered from each school for feasibility reasons.
** Students should be registered through the schools only.
** Individual registration by the student is not encouraged.
Fees :
** A nominal participation fee is charged from each student.
** Part of it is retained by the school for its expenses as exam centre.
** Details about the fee / mode of payment etc. are given in the School Registration Forms sent to schools.
Students studying in classes 1st to 12th in schools affiliated to CBSE / ICSE / and State Boards can take the IEO test.
Ranking For Single Level Exam : ( For IEO and class one & two students)
** Marks obtained in the exam.
In case two or more students score same number of marks, ranks will be determined on following priority and criteria:
** Marks obtained in different sections of the exam. Each section is accorded separate weightage.
** Student’s performance in school during the previous year- as mentioned in the OMR.
** This may be verified at the discretion of SOF.
** Student not stating past year’s performance may not be considered for ranking in case of a tie.
** Age of the student - with greater preference being given to the younger student.
** Telephonic or personal Interview may be conducted.
** No two students will be given same rank. However, in case 2 or more students score equally on all parameters defined above, the award may be distributed equally among all winners.
