Position : Purchase Manager
Areas of Responsibility :
** Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
** Control purchasing department budgets.
** Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
** Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and storing materials.
** Participate in the development of specifications for substitute materials.
** Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
** Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
** Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing materials to other departments.
** Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
** Locate vendors of materials and interview them in order to determine product availability.
** Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
** Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for suppliers.
** Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
** Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
** Prepare reports and summarize data including sales report and book value.
** Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey.
** Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties.
** Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
** Assist in managing and following up of purchase orders.
** Handling and monitoring of claims to factories and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts.
** Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
** Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
** Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
** Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.
** Negotiate for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service) with suppliers and sub-contractors assigned.
** Purchase and issue order in accordance to specification.
** Plan and manage inventory levels of materials.
** Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors when the need arises.
** Assist in the operations of purchasing department
** Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, lead time required for manufacturing – costing & budgeting of material – inventory control
Person Specifications:
Education :
** Any Graduation
** Computer basic knowledge such as, MS office
Technical Experience : Technical Knowledge related to Compressors and its production procedure
Industrial Exposure : Worked with ISO Q+ Standard industry for 1-3 yrs

Areas of Responsibility :
** Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the Office
** Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages
** Pick up and deliver the mail to/from respected dept.
** Open and date stamp all general correspondence
** Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence
** Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference telephone calls
** Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies
** Develop and maintain a current and accurate filing system
** Monitor the use of supplies and equipment
** Coordinate the repair and maintenance of office equipment
** Answer all incoming calls and handle caller’s inquiry whenever possible
** Re-direct calls as appropriate and take adequate messages when required
** Greet, assist and/or direct students, visitors and the general public
** Support the Executive Director and other staff Main Activities
