Declaration of Final Result of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2012 for recruitment of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks.

The Staff Selection Commission conducted Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2012 for recruitment of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks on 21st and 28th Oct., 4th November 2012 and re-examination for some of the centers on 13-1-2013. The written result was declared on 23-1-2013.

The details of the candidates declared qualified/appeared in the skill test are as under.
Data Entry Operator (Post preferences D and E):
1. Total Candidates qualified for DEST : 9,277
2. No. of candidates who appeared in DEST : 6,375
3. Candidates qualified in Skill test as per criterion fixed by the Commission (upto 4 % mistakes for UR/OBC/SC candidates, upto 7% mistakes for ST candidates and upto 10 % mistakes for OH/HH/VH/Ex.S candidates) : 3,055

Lower Division Clerk (Post preference L):
1.Total Candidates qualified for Typing Test : 22,175
2.No. of candidates who appeared in Typing Test : 13,499
3. Candidates qualified in Skill test as per criterion fixed by the Commission (upto 6% mistakes for UR/OBC candidates and upto 7% mistakes for SC/ST/OH/HH/VH/Ex.S candidates) : 4,073
4. No. of candidates exempted from appearing in Typing Test : 60
5.Total No. of candidates qualified in/exempted from Typing Test : 4,133

While allocating posts of DEO and LDC to the qualified candidates, merit-cum-order of preference criteria has been adopted. Order of preference for these posts exercised by candidates while applying for the examination and their option for Preferences (L for LDC, D OR E for DEO, O for Other Post), Groups (X, Y) for LDC, Pref. of Services/Deptt./Cadre for ‘DEO’ and ‘LDC’, preferences for states exercised in the application duly verified by Regional offices as received from concerned regional offices in soft copy of Verified data have been considered. All the vacancies reported for the post of Data Entry Operators are under option D.

Candidates who have not exercised preference for any of the preferences fields, group, pref. of services/deptt./cadre/state have not been considered for concerned posts/ groups/cadres/States.

Allocation lists have been prepared keeping in view the number of vacancies reported by the User departments. While allocating States/cadres to candidates within group of posts, sub-options given by them have been used.

Criteria for resolving tie cases : (Tie-cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved) :-
(i) Total marks in the written examination.
(ii) Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.
(iii)Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

Number of vacancies available, Candidates recommended and marks obtained by the first and last selected candidates for the post of DEO and LDC and Others preference wise and state wise is given below. Rows corresponding to post/ state/ category with nil reported vacancies have not been included in the tables. If all the reported vacancies against a category ( 9-UR, 1-SC, 2-ST, 6-OBC) have been filled by candidates selected against horizontal categories ( 3-ExS, 4-OH, 5-HH, 7-VH), Lowest and Highest marks are shown against the horizontal category only and corresponding fields against the vertical categories are 0

Total 138 candidates (DEO-49, LDC Group X-28, LDC Group Y- 61) whose candidature has been kept as provisional by concerned Regional Offices are also included in the Select list. Concerned RDs/DDs will check the eligibility of such candidate thoroughly before nomination.

The above said List are purely provisional and subject to the recommended candidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the respective post in the Notice of Examination and also subject to thorough verification of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. The candidature of the candidates is liable to be cancelled by respective Regional Directors in case candidates found not fulfilling the eligibility conditions or any other genuine reasons. Further if any candidate is found to have indulged in fraud, copying or any other malpractice, his candidature is liable to be cancelled in addition to his debarment from appearing in the future examinations conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
