Initial Placement and Requirements:
(1) Centre for Energy - 2: BE/BTech in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical or Civil Engineering or MSc in Physics, Chemistry or Biotechnology with a First Class and preferably one year of experience. Persons having experience in setting up of laboratory and exposure to renewable energy equipments will be preferred.

(2) Centre for Environment - 2: BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/ Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology with a First Class. Person should have leadership quality in setting up and running modern teaching and research laboratories, capability to help design and fabricate experimental set-up for research works and ability to handle sophisticated instruments. Previous work experience involving area(s) relate to the Environment would be helpful.

(3) Central Instruments Facility - 2: MSc in Chemistry or Physics/BE/BTech with specialization in Spectroscopy / instrumentation / Electronics with a First Class. Preferably one-year experience on operation of sophisticated equipments such as NMR, ESR, SEM etc.

(4) Computer Centre - 2: BE/BTech/MSc in Computer Science & Engineering with first class, preferably one year experience in Computer Networking (hardware and software), System Administration for Linux and Windows platform.

(5) Centre for Nanotechnology - 1: BE/BTech/MSc in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Physics and Chemistry with a First Class with special knowledge, experimental skill and experience of working in research / teaching laboratories in one or more of the above fields preferably for one year and ability to come up with original ideas would be preferred. Person with ability to run sophisticated instruments and experimental laboratories would have edge over others and previous work experience involving area(s) related to Nanotechnology would be helpful. A Scientific Officer of Grade II is expected to have the leadership ability in setting up and running modern laboratories involving one or more of the above fields.

(6) Dept. of Chemistry - 1: MSc in Chemistry with first class and preferably having one year experience in handling analytical equipments.

(7) Dept. of Physics - 1: MSc in Physics / BTech (Engineering Physics) with first class. One year working experience in Physics related research laboratories. MSc in Physics with electronics specialization preferred. Working knowledge in computer controlled experimental setups for data acquisition. Prior knowledge in handling some of the major equipments such as X-ray diffractometer, high power laser, thin film coating unit, low temperature cryostats, vacuum pump, etc would be added advantages.

(8) Dept. of Chemical Engineering - 1: First Class BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Minimum one year experience in operation and maintenance of common electrical and electronic components of laboratory equipments. Thorough knowledge of various computer softwares.

(9) Dept. of Civil Engineering - 2: First Class BE/BTech in Civil Engineering or Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering. One year relevant experience in the Civil Engineering Laboratories of reputed Institutions or R & D organizations. Thorough knowledge of computer programming and software applications is desirable.

(10) Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering - 1: BE/BTech/MSc. in Computer Science & Engineering with first class, preferably one year experience in Computer Networking (hardware and software), System Administration for Linux and Windows platform.

(11) Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering - 1: BE in Electronics/BTech in ECE, MSc (Electronics) with a First Class and preferably one year of relevant experience.

(12) Dept. of Mechanical Engineering - 1: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with First Class preferably with one year experience in the operation and maintenance of sophisticated equipments and CAD – CAM systems. Candidates with an exposure to engineering / scientific research will be given more preference.
