APGENCO is the largest Power Generating Company of Andhra Pradesh State and is the 3rd largest Power Utility (8924.9 MW) in India and has second highest Hydel capacity in the Country desires to be the best power utility in the country and one of the best in the world, invites applications from the eligible candidates for the posts of Security Guards and Fireman, as indicated below

Age : A person must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have completed the age of 30 years as on the date of notification given for direct recruitment.

Educational Qualifications :
a). General Recruitment Candidates : Must have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh including mere appearance for first and Second year examination of Intermediate in-respect of SC/ST candidates.
b). Land Loosers :- Must have possessed Intermediate or SSC + ITI 2 years duration course.

Sports Quota :
a). The performance of individual is having obtained Medals/participation in disciplines for deciding a meritorious sports person against two percent (2%) sports quota as mentioned in Annexure II appended to the notification shall be the criterion, keeping in view the participation in the recognized sports disciplines as per Annexure I of the notification or as may be revised by the Government from time to time.
b). Participation at higher level shall be considered only when it is supported by winning Medals at the lower levels.
c). The candidate appointed under sports quota must represent the department for at least 5 years from the time of appointment.
d). The eligibility certificate issued by the Committee constituted in G.O.Ms.No.74 (Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture, Sports Department Dtd 09.08.,2012 shall only be considered for selection of candidate under sports quota.

Physical Requirements :
a). Height : Must not be less than 167.6 cm.
b). Chest : Must not be less than 86.3 cm round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.

Eye Sight :
i). Distant Vision - 6/6; Near Vision - 0/5 (Snellen)
ii). Each eye must have a full field of vision.
iii). Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eye or lids of either eye shall be deemed to be a disqualification

Application Registration Fee :
BC, SC & ST communities. Ex-Servicemen/Meritorious sports persons, Land Loosers : Rs.150/-
Others : Rs.500/-

Selection Procedure :
1. Written Test
2. Physical Measurement Test
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
4. Final selection
No written test for the candidates applying for the post under the category of “LAND LOOSERS”.

ii) Online application is accessible from 27.04.2013 to - 25.05.2013.

LAND LOOSERS :
candidates applying for the posts under Land Loosers quota shall submit one copy of online application along with attested copies of certificates i.e., SSC, ITI (2 years duration course), Community Physical Fitness Certificate along with the records referred in note (iii) Under para-2 of the notification shall simultaneously be sent by Regd/Post post to

What would be age limit for exservicemen to apply the security guard post?

Age :
A person must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have completed the age of 30 years as on the date of notification given for direct recruitment.

However, upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/BC candidates and also for the candidates claiming as Land loosers supported by the documents referred in Note (iii) of para 2 above irrespective of their caste.

Upto 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered in Armed force for the candidates who served in Armed forces

Up to 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered as a whole time CADET CORPS INSTRUCTOR in NCC provided the candidate should work rendered a minimum service of as a whole time CADET CORPS INSTRUCTOR in NCC.
