My rotation in Medical Unit A ,AL-ameen medical hospital & government hospital, bijapur, included 44 hours per week in medical emergency.
It involved management of emergency cases like :
- Cardiac emergencies
- Uncontrolled Hypertension
- Uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus
- Poisoning
- Acute GI infection
- Upper GI bleed
- Respiratory emergencies
- Dehydration
INDOOR :
I was involved in management of patients admitted through emergency and outdoor. I was responsible for daily management and care of 5 beds including ward rounds and bedside discussions. Patients who were managed indoor included cases of :
- Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis
- Chronic and acute renal failure
- GI pathologies
- Neurological disease
- Respiratory disease
- Complicated Diabetes
- Stroke
- Heamatological abnormalities
PRACTICAL PROCEDURES :
Procedures that I performed independently included : Lumber puncture, Urinary Catheterizations, Blood Sampling, Arterial Blood Gases Sampling, Abdomino-Thoracocentesis , Endotracheal Intubation and Nasogastric Intubation and DC Cardioversion.

During my rotation in Surgical Unit B, AL-ameen medical college hospital, bijapur, I worked in surgical emergency 36 hours per week.
