Application in the Standard Form, as prescribed in Part-IX of the Meghalaya Gazette, are invited from Male Candidates. residing in Meghalaya who are trained Home Guards/Civil Defence Volunteers possessing valid Driving License, to fill up 3 (three) vacancies of temporary post of Drivers in the office of the District Home Guards Commandant, District Training Centre one each at Shillong/Jowaifrura.

Scale of pay : Rs.7700-190-9030-EB-250-11280-340-15020/-P.M plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Age: Age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 (twenty seven) years as on 01.01.2013

Physical Standard (minimum) :
(i) Height: 157 cms. for male tribal candidates
(ii) Chest : Male 79 cms. (normal) 83 cms. expanded.
(iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical Standard.

Medical Requirement :
(i) Eyesight should not be less than 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other, i.e.,
6/6 for the Right eye in Right handed individuals and 6/6 for the Left eye
in Left handed individuals, without glasses.
(ii) Should be free from colour blindness.
(iii) Should not have Knock Knees, Flat Foot, Varicose Veins or Squint Eyes
