WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR LATERAL ENTRY – 2013

FOR ADMISSION OF DIPLOMA HOLDERS IN ENGINEERING/TECHNOLOGY/PHARMACY AND B.Sc. TO THE 2ND YEAR (3RD SEMESTER LEVEL) OF 4-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE COURSES IN ENGINEERING/TECHNOLOGY AND PHARMACY IN WEST BENGAL.

Admission through Lateral Entry to the 2nd year (3rd semester level) of the undergraduate degree courses (except in Architecture) offered by Government/Private Engineering / Technology and Pharmacy Colleges/Universities of the State of West Bengal during the Academic Session 2013-14 is open to candidates who have either passed diploma course in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy from any AICTE recognised Polytechnic / Institute with at least overall 50% marks (45% for reserved category) or have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject and Degree in Science (B.Sc.) from U.G.C. approved Universities with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category).

The aforesaid candidates will be eligible for admission to degree courses based on the merit position in the JELET-2013 conducted by the “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” to be held on Sunday, the 09.06.2013

SEATS AVAILABLE : Available number of seats including reserved seats have been stated in the Information brochure which will be available with the application form.

AGE LIMIT : There is no age restriction for diploma holders of Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy. For B.Sc. candidates upper age limit is 27 years as on 31.12.2013.

RESERVATION POLICY : For Government and Government aided Engineering & Technology Colleges, reservation policy of the State Government shall be followed. For University / University Departments, reservation rule of the concerned University shall be followed.

APPLICATION : Candidates intending to appear in the JELET-2013 shall have to apply in a prescribed FORM which will be available along with the Information Brochure from 20.04.2013 to 09.05.2013 from the following Branches of Allahabad BANK : Jadavpur (Bagha Jatin)) / Sealdah / Salt Lake (BD Block) / Lake Town / BBD Bagh (Stiphen House)) / Shyambazar / Howrah (Station) / Sonarpur / Chinsurah / Barrackpore / Barasat (Champadali) / Burdwan (B C Rd) / Durgapur (Benachiti) / Purulia / Raiganj / Balurghat / Jalpaiguri / Midnapur / Tamluk / Haldia / Krishnanagar / Baharampur / Malda / Coochbehar / Siliguri / Kurseong / Suri / Bankura / Asansol (G T Rd)) / Kakdwip / Behala / Raghunathganj / Agartala (Tripura). on all working days (except Holidays and Sundays) on payment of Rs. 500.00 (Rupees five hundred) only in CASH as application fee. Application FORM once purchased cannot be returned or replaced and there is no provision for refund of application fee.

SUBMISSION : The duly filled in application form has to be sent by SPEED POST only so as to reach the Office of the Board at AQ-13/1, Sector-V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700091on or before 10.05.2013.

I have not got the admit card of JELET-2013 till 11/06/2013 where the last date of sending admit card is 12/06/2013?

The Applicants of JELET-2013 who do not receive the original Admit Cards of JELET- 2013 by JUNE 12, 2013, duplicate Admit Cards will be issued to them from the Office of the Board from 11 AM to 4 PM for a period from June 13, 2013 to June 15, 2013 on production of the following documents
a) Photocopy of the filled-in Application Form
b) Postal Slip for despatch of filled-in Application Form (Speed Post)
c) Two identical copies of the colour photographs (as pasted in the Application Form) duly attested by the Head of the recognized Institution last attended.
d) Original Admit Cards of Madhyamik (10th standard) or equivalent examination/H.S. (10+2) or equivalent examination.
e) Bank slip received during procurement of Application Form of JELET – 2013.
