ADMISSION TO M.TECH/M.E. PROGRAMMES
(Both Regular & Modular)

Qualifications and Experience for Admission :
(i) M.Tech. Engineering Education Programme : A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or its equivalent OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry from a recognized University with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(ii) ME Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Technology) Programme : A Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Technology/Mechanical Engg/Production Engg./Industrial Engg./Automobile Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(iii) ME Construction Technology & Management Programme : A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(iv) ME Computer Science and Engineering Programme : A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Information Technology from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(v) ME Instrumentation and Control Programme : A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering /Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(vi) ME Electronics and Communication Engineering Programme : A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 or 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

ii) Applications for admission to M.Tech./ME Programmes (both Regular & Modular) for the session 2013, duly sponsored by the competent authority should reach the institute as per detail given below;
I. M. Tech/ME Modular Programmes:
1. Last Date for Receipt of duly sponsored Applications : 06.05.2013 upto 5.00 P.M.
2. Date of loading of Merit List on Institute Website : 24.05.2013
3. Date of Counseling for M. Tech/ME Modular Programmes : 31.05.2013 at 10.00 A.M.
4. Date by which Fee to be deposited : 03.06.2013
5. Date by which classes will begin : 08.06.2013

II. M. Tech/ME Regular Programmes:
1. Last Date for Receipt of duly sponsored Applications : 18.06.2013 upto 5.00 P.M.
2. Date of loading of Merit List on Institute Website : 05.07.2013
3. Date of Counseling for M. Tech/ME Regular Programmes : 16.07.2013 at 10.00 A.M.
4. Date by which Fee to be deposited : 17.07.2013
5. Date by which classes will begin : 16.07.2013

Note :
Candidates should enclose attested photocopies of the following documents along with their applications failing which their applications will not be considered for admission;
i) Certificate of Matriculation/Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate as a proof of date of birth.
ii) Certificates of Bachelor’s /Master’s Degree or its equivalent.
iii) Certificates of claim under SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped category seats.
iv) Certificate of sponsorship (No Objection) from the competent authority.
v) Semester/year-wise all Detailed Marks sheets (along with degree certificate) of Bachelor’s /Master’s Degree or its equivalent.
vi) All experience certificates {on letter head bearing letter No. & date and clearly stating date of joining and leaving; Appointment letter will not be considered}. However, weightage will be given only to the certificates received along with application by due date.
vii) Maximum marks, marks obtained in each semester/year should be given in the application form under Sr. No. 10. A certified copy of conversion formula in case of marks in grade points is essential. Otherwise his/her name will be placed last in the merit list.
