Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the MoES-CMLRE ITIS project entitled “Inventorying and Barcoding of venomous and poisonous fishes of East coast of India” (Lr no. MoES/CMLRE/10-ITIS/1/2012/GIA (S)/03, dated 19/02/2013) giving details of academic qualifications, age and experience if any. Interviews for the proposed positions are likely to be held during the third week of April 2013. Candidates called for the interview will have to attend on their own and no TA/DA will be paid. The following are details of the position to be filled.

1. Name of the post : Senior Research Fellow
No. of post : One
Stipend :Rs.18000/- + 15% HRA pm
Duration : Two years (likely to be extended for one more year)
Academic Qualifications :Candidates with First Class in M.Sc. Marine Biology and Fisheries or Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology or Marine Biotechnology or Biotechnology. Candidates with Ph.D or NET/GATE qualified candidates with two years of research experience in Molecular taxonomy and research publications in relevant field are preferred

2.Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow
No. of post : One
Stipend : Rs.16000/-
Duration : Two years (likely to be extended for one more year)
Academic Qualifications : Candidates with First Class in M.Sc. Marine Biology and Fisheries or Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology or Marine Biotechnology or Biotechnology or Zoology. NET/GATE qualified candidates/candidates with one year research experience in taxonomy are preferred

3.Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow

Stipend : Rs.16000/-
Duration : Two years (likely to be extended for one more year)
Academic Qualifications : Candidates with First Class in M.Sc. Marine Biology and Fisheries or Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology or Marine Biotechnology/Biotechnology.NET/GATE qualified candidates/candidates with one year research experience in taxonomy/ DNA fingerprinting and Bioinformatics are preferred

Applications are invited for the following temporary positions to work in an INCOIS sponsored Research Project.

Project title : Impact of ocean parameters on fishery resources and development and validation of regional algorithms for ocean color constituents off Visakhapatnam coast.
Principal Investigator : Prof. K. Sree Ramulu Dept. of Zoology
Project Duration :Four Years

1.Name of the post : Scientist

Emoluments : Rs.30,000/- per month consolidated
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Oceanography and Ph.D. are essential. Work experience of 8-10 years in the processing of Satellite Data for retrieving SST and Chlorophyll concentration, delineation of PFZ advisories, coordinating the onboard cruise programmes for conduction of PFZ validation experiments will be added advantages.

2.Name of the post : Senior Research Fellow
No. of post : 1
Emoluments : Rs.14,000/- per month + 20% HRA
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry or related subject. Minimum 2 years of experience as JRF/SRF in the collection of water samples onboard the fishing vessels, analysis for water samples, operation and analysis of profiling radiometer data etc., will be an added advantage.

3.Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow

Emoluments : Rs.12,000/- per month + 20% HRA
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Physical Oceanography or related subject. Knowledge of Satellite Oceanography, SST changes, vertical circulation process in the sea and onboard cruise experience will be of added advantage. CSIR-NET qualified candidates will be preferred.

4.Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow
No. of post : 1
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Zoology or related subject. Knowledge of marine living resources, especially fisheries will be of added advantage. CSIR-NET qualified candidates will be preferred.
Emoluments : Rs.12,000/- per month + 20% HRA

5.Name of the post : Field Assistant
No. of post : 1
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with science discipline is preferable. However, the candidate with at least 2 years of experience in the scientific field work and laboratory analysis will be preferred.
Emoluments : A maximum of Rs.8,000/- per month consolidated, depending up on the qualification and experience.
