Institute of Bioresearches and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, a research institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, invites applications from the suitable candidates for the following position for its extramural research project funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Prescribed application format is available at the Institute’s website or from the receptionist of the Institute.

Title of the Project : Screening for extracellular protease activity from stock bacterial isolates of NE region of India.
Duration: 2 (two) years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.

(a)Name of the post : Senior Research Fellow
No. of post : 2 (Two)
Upper age limit : 32 years
Emoluments / Consolidated pay : Rs. 18,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for NET / GATE qualified candidates OR Rs. 14,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA
Qualification : M.Sc. in Microbiology, Microbial Biotechnology, Life Science, Botany with specialization of Microbiology / Biotechnology.
(Preferences may be given to those having hand to hand work experience in microbial molecular biology techniques and biochemical characterization.)

(b)Name of the post : Laboratory Assistant
No. of post : 1(one)
Upper age limit : 28 years
Emoluments / Consolidated pay : Rs. 7,000/- p.m. consolidated.
Qualification : Minimum graduate in biological streams, experience candidate will be preferred.

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) is an autonomous research institutes under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The objective of IBSD is to develop and utilize the rich bioresources of the Northeastern Region of the country through the application of modern tools of biology and biotechnology. This institute is emerging as a premier research institute in the region with state-of-art modern research facility and infrastructure. The institute invite applications for the following posts on contractual basis;

1.Name of the post : Section Officer (Administration)
No. of post : 01 (One)
Consolidated fee: Rs. 15,000/- (fixed) per month.
Essential Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.
Experience: Minimum 10 years working experience in government/public sector organizations/Autonomous Institution.
Preferred: Preference shall be given to retired Govt. servant in related field such as administration/establishment matters.
Duration: Initially for 6 months.
Age limit: Upto 62 years for retired govt. employees.

2.Name of the post : Senior Technical Assistant (STA)

Consolidated fee: Rs. 13,500/- (fixed) per month.
Essential Qualification: B.Sc with three years experience.
Duration: Initially for 6 months.
Age limit: 30 years (Relaxable in age as per GoI rules).

3.Name of the post : Laboratory Assistant (LA)

Consolidated fee: Rs. 7,200/- (fixed) per month.
Essential Qualification: 12th Passed, preferably one year experience.
Duration: Initially for 6 months.
Age limit: 30 years (Relaxable in age as per GoI rules).
