Role : Diabetologist in a well-equipped urban primary healthcare setup

Candidate Profile :
Educational Qualifications :
** MD (Medicine) / DNB / MRCP / Diploma in Diabetes with min 4-5 year experience and registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or with any respective state medical councils within India
** Relevant higher degree (DM, PhD, MSc)

Clinical Experience :
** Preferably 4-5 years of active clinical practice post PG
** Able to offer expert clinical opinion in a range of problems within the speciality and make decisions at consultant level.
** Ability to take full and independent care for patients.
** Substantial experience in development and delivery of a high quality clinical services – out-patient diabetes, community diabetes, endocrinology or thyroid disease

** Good communication and interpersonal skills
** Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
** Ability to take responsibility and to cope with stressful situations.
** Non-judgmental approach and sensitivity in dealing with patients and colleagues.
** Basic computing skills
** Proficiency in English and Hindi
** Knowledge of local language

Responsibilities :
Clinical and Academic :
** To provide high quality personal medical services in the context of general practice to the patients registered with a predefined general practice set-up called as a practice unit henceforth.
** As part of the medical team, will actively participate in responding to medical/health problems presented by patients on the registered list including registration, follow-up visits, investigations, treatment and referral as appropriate.
** To provide on call under supervision and other services in the practice unit as appropriate.
** To participate in the periodical review the medical records of all registered patients and evaluate the respective management plans.
** To provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care activities for local communities and registered patients.
** To actively participate in the continuing medical education (CME) initiative – NationWide Personal Physician Training Programme for all the members of the medical team.
