Job Description :
** Preparation of Components
** Issue blood & components as per the requests
** Blood stock checking
** FFP stock check every 15 days
** Change thermographs of Walk-in-coolers, Quarantine Refrigerator, Water-bath, Platelet Incubators, Deep Freezers, Take over TTD Testing in the absence of TTD technician
** Emergency & OPD request processing if required (Cross matching, Reservation, Issue blood & blood components)
** Documentation – Temp. Record, Patient Grouping, Donor Grouping, Cross Matching, Requisitions Received, Dispatch, Blood Issue, Component Issue, Component Preparation
** Change thermographs of Walk-in-coolers, Quarantine Refrigerator, Water-bath, Platelet Incubators, Deep Freezers, Snap Freezer every Monday
** Assist in Donor Phlebotomy
** Blood Bags labeling
** Axsym daily, weekly & monthly maintenance
** Calibrations of kits – HIV, HbsAg, HCV
** Run controls for HIV, HbsAg, HCV
** Donors samples testing - HIV, HbsAg, HCV, VDRL, MP
** Process EQAS samples & maintain records of the same
** Donor Grouping ( Reverse only)
** Emergency & OPD request processing if required (Cross matching, Reservation, Issue blood & blood components)
** Packed Cell preparation
** Issue blood & components as per the requests
** Update report files – Reports pending for HOD’s sign. should be forwarded next day.
** Enter the errors occurred during testing on Axsym in the LOG BOOK.
** Documentation – Donor Grouping Register, Requisitions Received, Dispatch, Blood Issue, Component Issue, Record of Kits & Reagents, Transfusion Reaction
