Job Description
Independently dealing with the buyers, generating new business and focus on the customer and aid in customer retention, team management, handle interpersonal issues in the team, coordination with production to ensure that shipments go on time. Adhere to T & A. As part of the merchandising function, there are roles & responsibilities to manage and ensure if all these are on time
1) Cost Break up
2) Approval/Negotiation of price from buyer
3) Interacting with Buyer
4) Preparing and Implementing internal T & A
5) Booking of production capacities for each style with PPC dept
6) Getting all necessary sample approvals i.e. Proto samples, fit samples, sales samples, size sets samples, and pp samples
7) Responsible for procuring the Fabric and accessories, getting initial approval and ordering bulk
8) To order fabric and trim
9) Fabric/ Trims follow up.
10) Developing samples as per the buyer requirement
11) Finalization of washing, embr, print and CM rates
12) To conduct Pre Production Meeting
13) To arrange for final inspection
14) WIP on daily basis
15) Checking FCR and OCR report from Factory
16) Following with design dept for next season presentation.

Displays the core values of the company at work and in customer interaction
NIFT graduates with relevant experience
candidates having experience in merchandising with a start up would be preferred. PG program in apparel production and merchandising would be an added advantage.
