Job Description
The Technical Assistance project currently in action forms part of the larger State Partnership Programme whose objectives are:
- state-wide reform of the water sector, leading to sustainable and integrated water resources management
- equitable access to safe, adequate, affordable and sustainable water supply
- conservation, stabilization and replenishment of surface and ground water


The M&E Expert's duties will be as follows:
- To develop an appropriate and efficient monitoring system
- Support specific studies to review the core welfare indicators and organise an initial policy-related baseline survey
- Analyse results from the baseline surveys; identify concerns and necessary action to build consensus
- Develop an M&E questionnaire and identify indicators
- Design a M&E system at State level and pilot the system in the selected Districts
- Impact assessment study of sustainable water campaign
. Impact assessment study of implementation of Groundwater Regulation Act and management regimes at PRI level
Duration of assignment: 15 months over a 4 year period

Desired Candidate Profile
The Monitoring and Evaluation Expert MUST BE OF INDIAN NATIONALITY and have the following attributes:
- a Monitoring Specialist with a full University Degree in management, development studies, natural resource management or a related field
- Good working knowledge of Hindi and English is essential
- extensive experience in the water resources sector and/or natural resource management programmes
- 10 years experience in designing, managing, supervising, advising on M&E systems
- Experience in large sector reform programmes and/or rural water and sanitation programmes in India is an advantage
- Experience in large-scale programmes with preferable one assignment on a long term basis is essential
- Experience with multi-lateral and/or bi-lateral development programmes is essential
Specific professional experience:
- Experience in developing a comprehensive Sector Information Management System is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of formulating process and system indicators for reform programmes as well as decentralized and participatory approaches to monitoring is a distinct advantage
- Experience with change management
- Experience of working with public administration, NGOs and at decentralized levels with Panchayati Raj Institutions would be an asset.

“Innovative Cost Effective Technology for Greywater Treatment : Protect
Tomorrow’s Water Wealth”.
DESCRIPTION
The main aim of the work is to design the filter which is implemented in the domestic for the reuse of sullage water. The design was done with the help of AutoCAD software and a cost – effective solution was obtained to prevent the grey water. (The mini-project was done in B.E 7th Semester).
“Degradation of Phenolic Waste Water by Solar Photofenton Process”.
DESCRIPTION
The vital focus to treat the synthetic phenolic wastewater with the help of Advance Oxidation process. The main objective of the project is to utilize the natural resources (solar system) for the treatment purpose of phenolic wastewater generated by the industries. (The project is done in B.E 8th semester).
“Forecasting groundwater contamination and its impact on livelihood at Perungudi”.
DESCRIPTION :
The central objective of the project is suggestion of Remedial measure to reduce the contamination intensity and provide good supply of water to the public at Perungudi. The objective is attained with the help forecasting the water quality parameter in Neural Network and questionnaire survey. It is a socio – Economic project. (This is my thesis work in M.E).
