Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) is a Postgraduate program offered by a consortium of universities in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, USA with the support of State government of Andhra Pradesh. MSIT is currently offered at International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-H), Hyderabad, School of IT, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), College of Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) and College of Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA).

Eligibility:
2 Year MSIT B.Tech / B.E (All branches) or Equivalent Degree / Post Graduates in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics / MCA.
3 Year MSIT B.Sc.(Mathematics / Computer Science / IT ) or BCA or equivalent degree.

How to Apply :
The candidate can apply for either of the tests or both as mentioned below: Walk-in Entrance test , Regular Entrance test

Walk-in Entrance test:
Apply at Eduquity Career Technologies PVT LTD, 403, 4th Floor, Myhome Sarovar Plaza, Secretariat road, Hyderabad-63, Ph: 040-23243010 with a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 700/- from a nationalised bank drawn in favour of 'CIHL', payable at Hyderabad. If the candidate is satisfied with scores which he/she got through Walk-in Entrance then he/she can take regular entrance test which will be conducted from 23-05-2013, he/she needs to apply online (should take another DD for Rs. 700/-) . However the best of the scores would be considered for final ranking.

The walk-in entrance will be conducted from 18th April on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week upto 22-05-2013.

Regular Entrance test:
The regular entrance test will be conducted from 23-05-2013 onwards. Candidates applying for this test have to submit the Application in either of the following two modes.

1. After applying online, send a nonrefundable crossed D.D of Rs. 700, drawn in favor of "CIHL", on any scheduled bank payable at Hydrabad by speed post only to the address given below.

2. By sending filled Printed / Downloaded applications accompanied by a non refundable crossed DD for Rs 700/- drawn in favour of "CIHL", on any scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad by speed post only to the address given below.

The following are the important dates for the 2013 admissions:

Walk-In Entrance ends on 22nd May 2013
Last date for applying 13th May 2013
Entrance Examinations from 23rd May 2013
Results of GAT 1st June 2013
Stage II counseling starts from 12th June 2013
Commencement of Preparatory Course 24th June 2013
Commencement of Main Course 19th August 2013

The candidates can take Entrance Test on any Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week from 18th April, 2013 including May 20, 21 & 22, 2013.

Fee for MSIT :
** Preparatory course fee Rs.10,000/-
** Rs.6,000/- towards rent for the laptop for the preparatory course.
** Annual fee Rs.1,35,000/- for 2-Year MSIT and 3-Year MSIT programme.
** Students selected for the admission into the program after the preparatory course will have to purchase a new laptop which is about Rs.35,000/-
** CIHL will facilitate the purchase of the laptop.
Fee must be paid at the beginning of each year of the MSIT programmes.

Opportunities exist for assistantships in the programme for deserving students after the first year.
Loan
Loans (inclusive of Laptop fee) are available from banks for students who are successful in preparatory course, provided their eligibility criteria are met.
