Theme TITLEE - The Butterfly

Medium : Drawing, Painting, Collage or Mix Media
Requirements of the competitive part:
The competition is open for children of preparatory classes till grade X. The size of the artwork could be A3 (420 mm x 297 mm) or A4 (297 mm x 210 mm)

Categories (Groups):
Group A Preparatory Classes
Group B I to II Grade
Group C III to IV Grade
Group D V to VI Grade
Group E VII to VIII Grade
Group F IX to X Grade

Labeling the Entries:
Every entry must have the following information at the back of the artwork:
a) Name, Middle Name (if any) and Surname of the child
b) Date of Birth
c) Gender of the child
d) Class and Section
e) Full name, address, phone and email of the school or organization of which the child is a representative (an announcement of a prize will be sent to this address). It is not necessary to give private address of a child.
f) Entry Fee Reference (Cheque / Demand Draft number or E-Transfer Ref. No)

The schedule of the Competition:
31 July 2013 CLOSING DATE for receiving the entries (Works must be delivered to the artInfoIndia.com by this date) Works received after 31 July 2013 will not be accepted/entertained.
10 August 2013 The session of the panel of expert judges.
17 August 2013 Publishing the results of the exhibition at www.artinfoindia.com
16 October 2013 to 30 November 2013 Exhibition of selected 250 artworks at Lobbies of India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. (Subject to Confirmation)

Entry fee: Rupees 100/- (One Hundred only) for each entry
Cheque/Bank Draft in favor of ARTINFOINDIA.COM (It is not necessary to send entry fee individually, a consolidated Cheque/Bank Draft may be issued for all the participants from same institution)

Award and Prizes:
1st Award 1 in each group : Rs. 5000.00 and Medal
2nd Award 1 in each group : Rs. 2000.00 and Medal
3rd Award 1 in each group : Rs. 1000.00 and Medal
Consolation prize 5 in each group : Rs. 500.00 and Medal

Date of Award Ceremony :
Date of Award Ceremony will be announced on August 31, 2013. A catalog containing selected 250 works also be printed and available Free of Cost to the participating schools and selected participants. All the participants' name shall be printed in the catalog.
Certificate of Merit shall be given to the children whose works are selected for the exhibition. Also, from all the paintings received, artInfoIndia.com will publish 500 of them on website www.artinfoindia.com

Guidelines for Art Instructors:
1. Before the students pick the pencil/brush, please educate/create awareness among them about the importance of BUTTERFLIES in our eco-system as these creature are not merely aesthetically pleasing but play a major role in our eco-system (for your reference a few facts about the butterflies are given below).
2. It is necessary to include butterfly/butterflies in the artworks made, apart from that, the children have the liberty to paint even a single butterfly.
3. Please stick to the sizes mentioned to execute the artwork.
