Metapsyconix 2013
Metapsyconix is the annual Cultural and Technology festival of Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College (JIS Group). The fourth edition is hence Metapsyconix 4.0. This will be a two-day mega fest on 4th and 5th April, 2013.
Metapsyconix is entirely managed by the students of Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College.
Events
Call Of Consoles:
** Calling all gamers to the arena. The most epic Inter-JIS gaming event is here.
** And we are looking for gamers who can compete and win whatever the challenge may be.
This year we are starting with the basics:
1. Counter Strike
2. NFS Most Wanted
3. FIFA 2011
Our gaming world is a place where the mind can go free. Gamers would know what its like to do or die. Play for your team, play for self and most importantly, play for glory!
If you have mastered these games and can write walkthroughs through memory, you my friend are the right candidate. Prove that you are the best in the gaming world. Earn the elusive title of "Gaming Lord". Play against each other to really find out where you stand. And to put it in no better way - it is Game On!

Ramp Edge :
** Ramp-Edge is an Ethnic Fashion Show hosted on Metapsyconix 4.0. The main attraction of the ramp walk will be the elegant and confident participants walking down the ramp with groovy beats playing in the backdrop. The lights color sound and glamour will inspire the people and the contestants taking part. The most confident and most fashionable contestant will win lots of prizes.
** If you are a student of any JIS group colleges you can take part in this competition and let your glam scatter through the light. Please contact the concerned person on your campus if you are willing to take part. Or you can report to your principal's office.
** If you are however a student of Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur degree Engineering College, you can take part just by contacting any concerned person. The most convenient would be to talk to the guys at the cultural committee. The list of the committee members is on the notice board.
** We sincerely hope for your active participation to indulge yourself in an evening filled with glam and glitter. Have a nice walk!

Battle Symphony
** The world war of bands.
** The ultimate blitzkreig of bands, a 7 hour musical marathon and first of its kind in a JIS college, Battle Symphony is finally here. And registrations have already started!!
** The prize money this year has been fixed at a cool ten thousand rupees (10000/-)!
** The entry fees have been fixed at 500/- per band.
** Time slot per band is 18 minutes (including sound-check)
** All genres are welcome!
** A total of 16 bands will be allowed so selection will be a first come first serve basis.
** Registration closes on 31st March, 2013
** So if you think you can be the best by beating the best, here's your chance to showcase your band's talent. All bands are welcome!

** We all like to believe in the quote. But can you prove you really do? Set the stage on fire. An Inter-JIS dancing competition like no other, this unique event will bring the best dancers together.
** Think you can dance? Lets see how well you can. Get up and get down on the dance floor. Compete with fellow college members and get the most coveted crown of inter college dancing. And as George Gordon said,
** On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
** No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
** To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.
