Applications are invited for the following posts in the Institute;

Scale of Pay : Rs.37,400 – 67,000 + AGP Rs.9,000/-

Essential Qualifications :
a) Master’s Degree in Agriculture Economics/Economics/Rural Development with 55% marks in the aggregate.
b) Good academic record with a Ph. D degree in the concerned or allied disciplines.
c) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or of research in a regular position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/College or Accredited Research Institution with evidence of published work with a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books.
d) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – dedicated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
e) A satisfactory score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) system developed by UGC in its notification.

Desirable :
a) Capability of undertaking independent research in collaboration with national and international organizations.
b) Ability to supervise and guide doctoral research leading to Ph.D.
c) Ability to mobilize funds for research activities of ISEC from government agencies and other national and international organizations.
d) Preference will be given to candidates having experience in conducting training programmes of similar institutions and willing to participate in teaching/research programme.
e) Familiarity with computer and statistical packages.
f) Experience in Quantitative and Applied Economics/ Agricultural Economics will be given preference.
g) Knowledge of Kannada (atleast to speak).

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made on the basis of interview of short-listed candidates. Mere satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
