NIAB is looking for Senior, Mid-career & Young Scientists with a strong record of research accomplishments, as documented by publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. NIAB is looking for dedicated and committed Scientists who believe in institution building and have a passion for academic excellence and quality research. NIAB invites applications for Scientific Positions in the following priority areas:
1. Animal Genetics & Genomics
2. Bioinformatics
3. Reproductive Biology and Biotechnology

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. / B.V.Sc / M.B.B.S / B.Tech / B.E. or equivalent degree in the relevant area from a recognised University with original work as evidenced by patents or publications and 12 years of R&D experience in any of the above areas OR Ph.D. / M.V.Sc. / M.Tech. Or equivalent degree in the relevant area from a recognised University with original work as evidenced by patents or publications and 7 years of R&D experience in any of the above areas.
Responsibilities: Lead a group of scientists in the identified area, establish centres of excellence and develop a strong, independent and innovative research programmes.

2.Name of the post : Scientist - E

Pay Band + Grade Pay: Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 + 8,700 G.P

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. / B. Tech. / M.B.B.S / B.V.Sc / B. Pharm or equivalent degree in the relevant area from a recognized University with outstanding academic record.
Responsibilities: To work as a part of an integrative team to conduct experiments in the specified area.

Pay Band + Grade Pay: Rs.9300 – 34800 + 4200
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. / B.Tech. with 3 years’ experience in relevant areas like System Administration, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and/or Instrumentation.
Responsibilities: Operation and maintenance of computer systems and other IT related activities/ Operation and maintenance of laboratory analytical instruments/equipments.

National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, presently located on the campus of University of Hyderabad.

Applications are invited for the posts of Project Fellows and Research Associates at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology.

1. Name of the Post : Project Fellow
No. of post : Four
Fellowship : ` 16,000/- (NET-JRF/GATE) + 30% HRA p.m. ` 12,000/- (Others) + 30% HRA p.m.
Minimum qualification : M.Sc. or M.V.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Microbiology. Candidates with prior Molecular Biology research experience and having NET/GATE qualification will be preferred.

2. Name of the Post : Research Associate
No. of post : Two
Fellowship : ` 22,000-24,000/- (based on experience) + 30% HRA p.m.
Minimum qualification : M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Microbiology etc.
