UDDAN - A unique training program under CSR scheme of ONGC

Under the scheme titled UDAAN J&K, launched by Government of India, Graduate/Postgraduate engineers from Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines are to be trained for a period of 90 days and exposed to employment opportunities through Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Mohali, Punjab. Placement of the trained engineers will primarily depend on the performance of the candidates during training and meeting other eligibility criteria as may be specified by the recruiting organisations. Young engineers from J&K are invited to apply and avail this unique opportunity.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
1. Candidates having domicile of Jammu and Kashmir only are eligible.
2. Upper age limit is 28 years as on the date of walk-in-interview,
3. Candidates having full time Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks only can apply. Final year students of above branches also can apply subject to getting 60% marks in degree.

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW:
Eligible candidates have to appear for a walk-in-interview to be held at Centre for Career Planning and Counselling, University of Kashmir, Srinagar on -11th March, 2013 (Monday) at 10:00 AM onwards for Mechanical Engineering and on 12th March, 2013 (Tuesday) at 10:00 AM onwards for Electrical Engineering and left out Mechanical Engineering candidates. Based on the performance in walk-in-interview and academic performance, candidates will be shortlisted for training by the selection committee.

Application forms will be available from 4th March 2013 onwards at the office of Director, Centre for Career Planning and Counselling, Phone 2420078 Ext. 2171, Cell no: 09419883376 & 09906466556, University of Kashmir, Srinagar and on 3rd March 2013 onwards on website of CGC, Mohali, Punjab www.chandigarhuniversity.ac.in and ONGC’ website www.ongcindia.com.

STIPEND AND FACILITIES DURING TRAINING PROGRAMME
During 90 days training, candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 2500/= per month and free boarding and lodging. One time travel arrangements from Srinagar to Mohali will be made by Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Gharuan Mohali, Punjab

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
Certified copies of following certificates by Gazzetted Officer/Head of the Educational Institute from where the candidate has passed-out, will be required together with original certificates at the time of walk-in-interview for verification:
1. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of J&K state
2. Academic qualifications certificates (10th class, 12th class and engineering degree, additional qualification, if any)
3. Birth certificate (if date of birth is not specifically mentioned in education certificate).
4. Medical fitness certificate from a doctor of Government hospital
5. Work experience certificate, if any
6. Caste certificate, if applicable.
7. Character certificate from the institute last attended/from a gazetted officer.
8. Original certificates to be produced at the time of walk-in-interview will be returned after verification.
9. Candidate has to affix latest photograph with date (self-attested photograph as taken not before
15 days from the date of walk-in-interview) with three extra copies.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WALK-IN-INTERVIEW:
All the columns in the application form are to be filled-in accurately.
1. 2. Candidates from Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering will report at the venue of walk-in-interview before 10:AM on 11th March and 12th March, 2013 respectively.
