Directorate of Industries invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up 145 posts of INDUSTRIES INSPECTOR (LOWER GRADE) / EXTENSION OFFICER (INDUSTRIES) Group-C employees in the Directorate of Industries. The Industries Inspectors (LG)/Extension Officer (Industries) are transferable in the State of Maharashtra.

Age: Not less than l8 years and not more than 33 years as on 1st July,20l3.

Educational qualification :
1) Candidate must possess a degree in science or a diploma in chemical technology or mechanical or electrical or chemical engineering or electronic or textile or leather or automobile, metallurgy, telecommunication or radio Engineering of an university / institute or any other qualification equivalent thereto, as recognized by Government.
2) Preference is given to the candidates possessing a degree in engineering in any subject mentioned in 4.5.1 above i.e. B.Sc. and diploma holders will be at par. Degree holders and above will be rated higher as at 8.1.

Application Fee:
1. Open Category: Rs.250/-
2. Reserved category: Rs. 150 /-
3. Ex-servicemen: Nil.

Mode of payment: The candidates should pay the fee by means of "demand draft" only. Demand draft should be drawn on any nationalized bank in the name of "The Development Commissioner (Industries), Directorate of Industries, Maharashtra State, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai.
Candidate should write his/her name on the back side of the demand draft.

Syllabus of extension officer exam.

Written examination will be of objective type for 200 marks comprising of multiple choice questions and fill- in the blank questions of 100 marks each. The syllabus for written examination will be of graduate level which will includes questions on Marathi and English languages (10tr class level), science, technical, logical reasoning and general knowledge.

What is procedure of the selection?

Selection Procedure:
There shall be a written examination for 200 marks and interview for 20 marks and 05 marks for preference to degree holders in engineering and post graduation in science. Preferential degree marks will be as follows; (Out of 05 Marks)
a. I marks : Normal degree in science / diploma in engineering (see 4.5.1)

b. 1.5 marks:
i. Degree in engineering in chemical technology or mechanical or electrical or chemical engineering or electronic or textile or leather or automobile, metallurgy, telecommunication or radio Engineering only.
ii. Post graduation in Science.

c. 2.5 marks:
i. Post Graduate Engineering degree in chemical technology or mechanical or electrical or chemical engineering or electronic or textile or leather or automobile, metallurgy, telecommunication or radio Engineering only.
ii. Higher qualification than post graduation in science.
