Common Entrance Test - 2013 for Admission to Professional Courses in Karnataka.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2013 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology courses and Architecture course, in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2013-14.
Applicants for CET-2013 are also eligible to apply for B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc (Forestry), B.Sc. Ag (B.Tech), BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tecg (Dairy Tech), B.FSc (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science Tech)., B.Sc. (Agri. Marketting & Co-Op). Seniority for counseling will be arrived at based on 50% score in PUC and 50% score in CET.
Seniority for counseling for B.V.Sc & AH will be based only on CET Score. However, seniority for counseling for candidates who have filled in column 23 of the application form and are interested in obtaining seat under “Agriculturist Quota” will have to attend Practical Test conducted by Agriculture / Horticulture / Veterinary Universities in Bidar, Dharwad, Bagalkot, Shimoga and Bangalore centres on 10-05-2013 and score minimum 50% marks to claim eligibility under Agriculturist Quota.
Where to submit the filled application form?
The candidates who have received the brochure cum application forms through their schools or colleges should submit their filled applications to the respective schools or colleges. The Principals of all the schools and colleges in Karnataka teaching 2nd PUC or 12th standard including CBSE & CISCE, have been requested to collect the filled application forms from the students of their respective institutions by verifying whether the candidate has written his / her correct 2nd PU register number, PU Student number, etc. along with proper affixation of the candidate LEFT HAND THUMB IMPRESSION and also to forward the filled application forms to the KEA. The last date for submission of filled application forms to the concerned Principals will be 30-03-2013.
The candidates who have submitted their filled applications through the schools and colleges should collect their Admission Tickets from the respective schools and colleges on or after 20-04-2013 and the candidates who fail to get their admission ticket, should immediately contact their respective Principals with the photocopy of their filled application form.
The Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (Including Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates) who have received their brochure cum application form through ‘Speed Post’ should also send the filled application forms by ‘Speed Post’ only directly to KEA on or before 05-04-2013 and such candidates will get their admission tickets to their home addresses as furnished by them in their application forms, by ‘Speed Post’ on or after 20-04-2013.
The candidates who have submitted their filled application forms by ‘Speed Post’ directly to KEA, who fail to get the admission ticket well within the notified date should immediately contact the Executive Director, KEA, along with a photocopy of their filled application form and the ‘Speed Post’ acknowledgement for having sent the application form to KEA. Otherwise, admission tickets will not be issued to such candidates and they will not be allowed to write the test.

Whats the application fee for CET?

Who are eligible to get seats in Government college?
Eligibility for government seats:
Candidates who satisfy one of the following Clauses / Eligibility Criteria ONLY are eligible for selection / allotment of Government seats in Government, Aided, Private Un-aided Minority / Non-minority institutions through KEA. Each condition is specified as a clause and is individually referred by a code. The documents to be produced during verification of documents in support of the claim for each of the Clauses are also detailed below the respective clauses. The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria detailed below and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats.

Dear sir,
At present my daughter has appeared for X cbse from Mysore. She is interested in medical. Now, it is very much confused can you kindly spare your precious time by giving reply for the following questions for which I shall be grateful to you:
1. whether karnataka CET will continue its process or students will have to appear for NEET in future i.e.2015 entrance?
2. Whether students can appear for both NEET & CET for medical & Engineering?
3. What is 15% state quota in NEET? In what way it is beneficial?
4, How many seats are available for General Merit students in MBBS & Dental?
5. Whether CET will provide any study materaials on payment? if so how much?
6. Whether Government is conducting any coaching classes for CET in Mysore?

I AM DEEKSHA KUMARI FROM MANGALORE [SOMESHWAR], IN YOUR PROFORMA FOR INCOME CERTIFICATE TO BE PRODUCED BY SC/ST AND CATEGORY-1 CANDIDATES, YOU HAVE MENTIONED THAT THE INCOME CERTIFICATE SHOULD CONTAIN "THIS CERTIFICATE IS TAKEN FOR SUBMITTING CET 2013" .WHEREAS IN THE INCOME CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY SUB TAHSILDAR MANGALORE IT IS NOT MENTIONED.THE NO. N132617319 AND NAGARIKA SEVA KATHRI NO. RD0038847000882 DATED 14-02-2013 .ON ENQUIRING ABOUT IT TAHSILDAR SAID THAT, IN EXISTING FORMAT THEY CAN'T INCLUDE THE ABOVE REASON .SO PLEASE INFORM THAT WHETHER THIS INCOME CERTIFICATE HOLDS GOOD FOR CET.2013 .
