SYLLABUS FOR ONLINE TEST (31.03.2013)
The online test will consist of 120 questions for all the post categories. All the questions are objective type. Each question will carry one mark and no negative marking. The online test question paper consists of two parts:-

i. Part-A General Knowledge and Aptitude (Weightage -40%)
ii. Part-B Relevant Subject Knowledge (Weightage -60%)

a. PART-A: Common for Post codes 01,02 and 03
Area of Syllabi will be as follows for all the posts
- General Knowledge and General Awareness
- Arithmetic ability
- General Science
- Logic and Reasoning Ability
- Data Interpretation

b. PART-B :Post Codes 01 & 0 2
Area of Syllabi will be as follows for Posts Code 01 and 02
- Engg. Maths, Engg. Physics, Engg. Chemistry – Post Code 01 and Post Code 02
- Basic Engg. subjects – Post Code 01 and Post Code 02
- Cross functional (Discipline) subjects (Only Basics) - Post Code 01 and Post Code 02
- Cross functional (Discipline Specific) subjects – Post Code 01 and Post Code 02
- Advance Functional subjects – Only for Post Code 02

c. PART – B : Post Code - 03
Area of Syllabi will be as follows for Post Code 03
- Basic workshop science and calculations
- Basic Engg. skill
- Basic trade skill
- Advance Trade Skill

Online Test : The test is scheduled to be conducted on 31.03.2013 for duration of 120 minutes.

Tamil Language Test : A language test in Tamil for a duration of 15 minutes will also be conducted on 31.03.2013 post completion of Online test.

What is psychometric test, it is written test or oral test. What is the duration of the test.

This test need hall ticket. If need, when hall ticket will publish?

Psychometric Test (Qualifying Test): The provisionally shortlisted candidates for Post Code : 01 based on the written test held on 31.03.2013 will be administered Psychometric Test .The Psychometric Test will measure specific abilities related to the job, such as reaction time, form perception, vigilance, speed anticipation and some selected attributes of personality. The Psychometric Test will be conducted in batches as mentioned below and passing of the Test shall be mandatory for the candidates. The candidates who do not pass the Psychometric Test may not be called for further process.

Note :
1. Failure to attend the Psychometric Test on the appointed date, time & venue will disqualify a candidate from being considered for appointment.
2. No TA/DA will be given to the candidates to attend the Psychometric Test at Chennai.
3. It is decided to conduct the psychometric test in batches as mentioned below on various dates.An intimation in this regard will be sent to the provisionally shortlisted candidates separately.
4.Venue for the Psychometric test is as follows:-
Indian Officers Association,IVth Floor, Centenary Building,No:69 Royapettah High Road,Royapettah,Chennai -600014 Nearest Landmark - Opposite to Ajantha Bus Stop near Hotel Deccan Plaza
5. The candidates who qualify the Psychometric test will only be called for Original Certificate Verification and Medical Fitness test.
