ONLINE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS FOR INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF SITE ENGINEER AND JUNIOR SITE ENGINEER.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited(RVNL), a Schedule ‘A’ PSU under the Ministry of Railways for fast track execution of Rail projects, requires the services of experienced Engineering Degree/Diploma holders (freshers can also apply) for engagement in Civil, Electrical & Signal Engineering Departments of RVNL on contract basis for its Projects located at various places in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra & Karnataka. The details of the post and the qualifications/experience needed are as under :-

Name of the Post : Site Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Signals)
Qualification & Experience : B.E./B. Tech (Civil / Electronics/ Electrical) having working experience of one year post-Degree (Freshers can also apply)

Name of the Post : Junior Site Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Signals)
Qualification & Experience : Diploma Holders in (Civil / Electronics/ Electrical) having working experience of one year post-qualification (Freshers can also apply)

Emoluments :
The monthly remuneration of Site Engineer and Jr Site Engineer will be around Rs.27,000/- and Rs.21,000/- respectively. Candidates having relevant Railway-related experience will be considered for higher emoluments.

Place of Posting :
Site Engineers/Junior Site Engineers will be posted in the field at any of the following Projects under Project Implementation Units of Chennai & Secunderabad. RVNL also reserves the right to post to other units in India as per its requirement.

Mode of Application :
1) Candidates are required to fill up forms on-line on the RVNL website (www.rvnl.org). Please see the relevant page under “Opportunity/Careers”.
2) Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully while filling up the form online to avoid errors/rejection.
3) The on-line facility will be open for a specified period/time(0000 hrs of 03/03/2013 to 2359 hrs of 10/03/2013). Interested candidates must fill up the form within this specified time period of 8 days.
4) Applications beyond or before the specified period will not be accepted.
5) No applications need to be sent by post. Applications if any sent by post without filling the on-line application will not b accepted.

Mode of Selection : Mere applying for the post or possessing minimum qualification is no guarantee for an Interview Call. RVNL administration will decided short-listing of candidates for interview which will be purely based on the academic merit of the candidates. However, candidates having Railway-related construction experience* will be given weightage.

Date/Time/Place of Interview : Interview of short-listed candidates will be held at Secunderabad or at a place decided by RVNL tentatively during the 3rd week of March 2013. Date/Time/Place of Interview will be published in the website of RVNL and the candidates advised about the same through SMS. Shortlisted candidates should report on time along with their original testimonials in support of the data mentioned in their application as per the schedule.

Candidates should also note that their candidature is liable to be rejected at any point of time in the event of failure to produce the documentary proof in support of the data mentioned in their application form and in the event of any discrepancy found at the time of verification of the original documents.

Freshers refers to candidates who have completed their full Degree / Diploma course and have certificates in r/o all their semesters. Candidates who do not have final semester marksheet/gradesheet at the time of applica tion/Interview will be summarily disqualified.

Junior Site Engineer ( Civil, Electrical & Signals):
** Diploma Holders in (Civil / Electronics / Electrical ) having working experience of one year post - qualification.
** Freshers can also apply.

Note :
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Railway - related works. Candidates having field experiences of working in the following types of Projects only will be treated as having Railway-related experience.

CIVIL :
** Construction / Design of Railway lines
** Construction / Design of Railway Bridges & Structures
ELECTRICAL :
** Construction/Design of Railway Over Head Equipments(Electrification)
** Construction/Design of major Electrical sub-stations / Traction Sub-stations
SIGNALS :
** Construction/Design of Panel or Electronic or Route-relay Interlocking
** Construction / Design of Railway Signals

Candidates having Rly-related experience are required to fill the relevant box in the application form briefly mentioning abut the nature of work done by them
