Academic Qualifications:
Essential:
I) Graduate in Medicine and Surgery of a recognized University or any recognized equivalent degree of any other University or Institutions recognized by the Medical Council of India.
II) Must be registered with Haryana or Punjab Medical Council or with any other duly constituted Medical Council in India.
III) Adequate knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit.

Qualification & Experience : Should either be a Graduate in Psychology / Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology/ Human Development or hold a diploma in Nursing with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in the field of HIV/AIDS . In case of candidates infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, graduates from any field or those with a diploma in nursing may be considered if they have minimum of one year experience in the field of HIV/AIDS. It is desirable that candidates for the post of counselors hold a postgraduate degree either in Psychology (M.A./M.Sc.) or Social Work
