Tuticorin Port Educational Agency invites applications in the prescribed format, from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of vacancies and for drawing a panel of candidates for the grant post of B.T. Assistant (English) on CONTRACT basis.

Tuticorin Port Educational Agency invites application from the qualified candidates for the following grant posts detailed below;

1.Name of the post : P.G. Assistant (Mathematics)

Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800 (Grade pay Rs. 4800)
Essential Qualifications:
(i) A Master Degree or its equivalent standard in the subject in respect of which appointment is made;
Provided that persons holding the certificate in Science and Humanities for Graduate Teachers in High Schools shall be considered for appointment as teachers in the subject relating to Science and Humanities;
Provided further that, other things being equal, preference shall be given to those who have studied the same subject in which he has obtained the Post Graduate degree as main subject under Part III in degree level.
Provided also that for appointment to certain subjects in which Master’s degree are not awarded, person s possessing Master’s degree in other subjects shall be considered;
Provided also that a Master’s degree in Statistics or its equivalent standard in Statistics shall be in alternative qualification for appointment as subject teachers in Maths by promotion: and
(ii) B.T. or B.Ed. degree or its equivalent.

2.Name of the post : P.G. Assistant (Tamil)

Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800 (Grade pay Rs. 4800)
Essential Qualifications:
i. A Master's Degree in Tamil or in languages (Tamil) or its equivalent; and ii. B.T. or B.Ed. degree or its equivalent.Provided that for appointment to the post by recruitment by transfer from the post of Tamil Pandit in the High School, the Pandit Training or Secondary Grade Training shall be considered as equivalent qualification to the B.T. Or B. Ed. Degree;
Provided further that, other things being equal, preference shall be given to those who have studied Tamil as a Main subject both in degree and Master's Degree levels.

Max.age As on ( 01.05.2013) : In accordance with Tamil Nadu Educational Rules.
