Job Description
This job requires knowledge and familiarity with the relevant safety regulations and keeping abreast of changes in addition to the following specific responsibilities:

Supports managers in undertaking the protective and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as it applies to them.

Report any breaches of statutory requirement or company best practices to the Manager

Participate & Conduct Safety audit and support the process in a manner consistence with their competence.

Observes work in progress, ensures that proper safety equipment is worn and procedures are followed.

Coordinates and consults with Project Manager regarding health and safety issues and notifies management regarding violation of safety regulations and codes if any.

Makes recommendations for corrections and follow up to ensure that violations have been corrected.

Analyzes hazards and develops ergonomic risk assessments


Assist Project Manager / Manager EHS in developing policies, plans and procedures to minimize risk

Conducts safety committee meetings

Assists Manager in ensuring preparation of Safety Manuals, training outlines and employee instructions for work deemed to have recognized hazards

Conducts or provides for employee safety training, including classroom lectures, demonstrations or hands-on instruction.

Investigation of accidents and makes recommendation for prevention of similar future incidents.

Ensure the consistent reporting of all accidents, incidents or near misses to the Manager

Ensures that all employees comply with all environmental regulations regarding hazardous substance handling and disposal.
