    The following are my task and targets which I have been carrying out regularly :-
    Verification of welding and NDT documents :-
    - Ensure WPS/ PQR are prepared/established/approved as per the applicable code.
    - Ensure Welders are qualified as per the applicable code, a register is maintained to monitor their renewal/re-test process.
    - Ensure the welding machines are calibrated.
    - Ensure that the welding consumables are handled as per approved procedures.
    - Ensure the piping & pipe fitting materials are handled / stored and preserved as per approved procedures. Ensure the issue/receive the materials and traceability are maintained.
    - Various NDT procedures are prepared/verified/approved as per applicable code.
    - PWHT and Hydro-test reviewed and approved.
    Verification of personnel qualifications :-
    - NDT personnel are qualified as per SNT – TC – 1A and the qualifications are valid.
    - Welders and welding operators are trained/qualified as per applicable code and are currently valid.
    Verification of other documents:-
    - Raw materials mill test certificates are verified and confirmed to the code requirements.
    - Welding/NDT consumables and other consumables test certificates are reviewed.
    Calibration:-
    - All inspection tools, test equipments, instruments & gauges etc are calibrated and the calibration certificates are currently valid. Ensure a register is maintained.
    MANAGING PIPING QUALITY CONTROL
    - Ensure Line Pipes, Fittings and Valves, Gaskets, bolts & nuts materials are receive -inspected as per the Inspection and Test Plan.
    - Ensure Dimensional stability to Materials spec, heat numbers, mechanical properties to drawing and material test certificate.
    - Ensure edge preparations are carried out and the bevel is clean and the bevel angle is checked prior to fit-up as per QCP.
    - Ensure ISO spool fit-up is carried out and the fit up is made by competent pipe fitters. Ensure the pipe fitter has the right tools. Ensure no excess
    - Miss-alignment is allowed and the root gap and the geometrical parameters are ensured as per code and WPS.
    - Sub-assembly and final dimensional inspection to the approved drawing
    - Ensure Electrodes/filler wires and other consumables are as per WPS
    - Pre-heating if any
    - Root welding visual inspection, NDE if required
    - Checking of the inter pass temperature & recording the parameters as per WPS
    - Final welding visual inspection, NDE if required
    - Welding inspection.( surveillance checks before, during and after welding )
    - Ensure that all NDT specified are carried out and the reports are reviewed.
    - Interpretation of radiographic films and repair/NDT activities if needed.
    - Monitor PWHT operation, review charts and reports.
    - Ensure hardness after PWHT to confirm the adequacy of PWHT and do RT & MT if specified.
    - Ensure Pre- commissioning activities are met as hydro test, thickness check etc.
    - Witness hydro test and review the charts and reports.
    - Inspect surface preparation to relevant code.
    - Non confirming products are identified/rectified and re-checked.
    - Ensure the pipe spools are handled as per procedure and without damage.
    - Ensure NDT is fully carried out/accepted to piping spools prior to its erection.
    - Ensure field weld radiography is carried out at planned time so that project progress is not affected.
    - Ensure the punch list is done and punch listed is attended properly.
