    Job Description
    To assist the factory management in the fulfillment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise, concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining safe working environment.
    Coordinating with all 4 sites of PPL and with Huhtamaki in HSE issues.
    To develop HSE Policy, related documents, guidelines, formats to implement HSE activities.
    To carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices followed by workers and advice on measures to be adopted for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers
    To assist the concerned departments in planning and organising measures necessary for effective control of personal injuries;
    To assist and advice on matters related to reporting and investigation of industrial incidents.
    To analyse the incidents & investigate the probable dangerous events, activities, machines and to suggest appropriate training or awareness to mitigate future events.
    To organise in association with the concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe work conditions.
    To assist and advice the purchasing and stores department in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipment.
    Liaison with government authorities, NGOs and with neighboring industries.
    To design and conduct (either independently or in collaboration with the training department) suitable training and educational programmes for the prevention of personal injuries.
    To organize Mock drills &create awareness & capability to handle crisis Management. Appropriately interact with local Govt for the same.
    Conduct Safety meetings & implement the action plans arising from such meetings.
    Reporting to Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer.
