Position : Mechanical / Project engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Perform Mechanical engineering activities on projects of various sizes and complexities within the business line in coordination with other engineering and project groups.
2. Responsible for mechanical design, project cost estimation, bids and technical specifications.
3. Responsible for procurement (material requisitions and bid evaluations) from suppliers and vendors.
4. Verify and approve vendor drawings and coordinate fabrication and construction of equipment.
5. Participate in all phases of conceptual design to detail engineering, construction, commissioning and operation.
Knowledge :
1. Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
2. Familiarity with industry standards including API, ASME, ANSI, NACE, TEMA and other local and international standards.
3. Expert knowledge of various equipment detail design and operation including Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Compressors, Boilers, Columns &Piping Components.
4. Knowledge of piping codes, material selection (metallurgy, coatings) and welding.
5. Working knowledge of power plants and related equipment would be an asset.
Skills / Abilities :
1. Knowledge of industry relevant software like CAD
2. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Proven problem solving abilities
4. Intuitive understanding and appreciation of group dynamics/team development.
Minimum Qualifications :
1. A recognized degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
2. 10+ years of work experience in the industry or with an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) company.
3. Operating experience in carbon dioxide recovery, power, urea/ammonia, chemical plants will be an asset.
4. Material Selection (Corrosion metallurgy) expertise will be an asset.
Salary :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Responsibility for sales and marketing of company products.
2. Responsible for achieving high profitability/contribution margin (CM) for the APBS product portfolio.
3. Finding new sales avenues/application for APBS across various industries.
4. Coordination with CCS UK & US offices for sales & marketing of APBS product line.
5. Key Account Manager for a major customer for the intermediates division
6. Customer relationship Management
7. Attending & organising tradeshows and exhibitions for CCS APBS product division.
8. Customer, Competitor & Product mapping
9. Product pricing & positioning and budgeting on a rolling basis
Knowledge :
1. Industries: Fertilizer, Petrochemical, Construction, Agro-Chemicals & Food & Feed
2. Amines, Acids, Poly-Alcohols, Diols and Specialty Chemicals
3. Identify the new trends/applications for new business opportunities
4. Understanding the product/industry value chain to develop the product concept
Skills / Abilities :
1. Product stewardship programmes for the customers
2. Channel Management: Identifying and managing channel partners for increasing product
3. Supply Chain Co-ordination
4. Managing after sales support and maintaining customer relationship
Minimum Qualifications :
1. A recognized post graduate degree in Chemical/Mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
2. 10+ years of work experience in amines/specialty chemicals domain.
3. MBA will be an asset.
4. Prior experience in amines industry will be an asset.
