Job description :
At Geomud Nigeria Ltd. (Lagos, Nigeria) :
- Building and maintaining fluids on rig site. (Both Synthetic oil base mud & water base mud).
- Responsible for maintaining fluid properties on rig sites by accurately testing the properties of the fluids, according to A.P.I. standards.
- Supervising the operation of fluid pumping and mixing.
- Respond to variation in mud parameters in a timely manner. Recommending and coordinating the necessary treatments for fluid maintenance within the desired parameters.
- Conduct pilot testing for unusual mud treatments at well site for water base and oil base mud.
- Monitor mud consumption and respond to down hole mud losses on a timely manner.
- Providing computerized reports regarding the fluid hydraulics, chemical consumption and costs over the entire duration of operations.
- Performing recaps, inventorying products and costs, reordering and restocking needed materials and chemicals.
- Responsible for the safe handling, safe loading and offloading of products & equipments. Safe stacking and handling of chemicals at well site location to avoid damage to products.
- Provide support to aid operations in providing environmentally safe drilling fluids that are available.
- Acting according with local & internal legislative rules.
- Exposed/worked for High Temperature and High Pressure and directional and horizontal wells in OKWUIBOME and ANIZE fields, Delta state in Nigeria
