Assam Rifles recruitment rally will be held at Kohima (Nagaland) and Shillong (Meghalaya) from 06 May 2013 to 22 May 2013 for enrolment of 147 vacancies (male candidates) of Tradesmen and 24 vacancies of Para Medical Staff from following States for the posts mentioned against each :-

(a) Kohima (Nagaland) The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the States for the posts specified against each :-
(i) Tradesman : 79
(ii) Para Medical Staff : 21

b) RECRUITMENT RALLY AT SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA). The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the states for the posts specified against each :-
(i) Tradesman : 68
(ii) Para Medical Staff : 03

Qualitative Requirement :
(a) Tradesmen : The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is class X and to qualify the departmental professional Trade Test of the Trade for which the candidate is seeking enrolment.

(b) Staff Nurse : The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is (i) Matriculation or equivalent (ii) Diploma in Nursing from the recognised Council (iii) Must have working knowledge of Hindi.

(c) FA and AYA : The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is Matriculation or equivalent and qualify the departmental professional Trade Test of the Trade for which the candidate is seeking enrolment.

Age for Tradesmen : Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug 2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates.

Age for Staff Nurse, FA and AYA : Between 18 to 25 years as on 1st Aug 2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates. For widows of ex-servicemen of Assam Rifles personnel, Gen/OBC up to 35 years and SC/ST up to 40 years of age.

Physical Efficiency Test :
(a) Male candidates
(i) 5 Km run - Candidates to qualify within 24 Minutes.
(ii) 11 ft long jump - Candidates to qualify in maximum 3 chances.
(iii) 3 ½ ft high jump - Candidates to qualify in maximum 3 chances.

(b) Female candidates
(i) 1.6 Km run - Candidates to qualify within 8 1/2 Minutes.
(ii) 9 ft long jump - Candidates to qualify in maximum 3 chances.
(iii) 3 ft high jump - Candidates to qualify in maximum 3 chances.

How to Apply : Candidates shall submit their applications from the date 13 Feb 2013 to 28 Mar 2013 as per the attached format to the address mentioned below. Fee. Rupees fifty only (Rs 50/-) payable through SBI Challan through Power Jyoti Account No, 32611562834 at SBI, Laitkor Branch, Shillong, Code No – 13883. Fee paid by SBI Challan will be submitted alongwith the application. Fee paid by modes other than SBI challan will not be accepted and the application of such candidates will be rejected forthright and the payment made shall stand forfeited. Fee is exempted for candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Ex- Servicemen eligible will be accepted.

Applications should reach by 28 March 2013.
Applications received after 28 March 2013 will not be entertained.

1. Naib Subedar (Religious Teachers) : Graduation with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhusan in Hindi and Candidate to pass practical departmental test in the profession trade.

2. Naib Sebedar (Bridge and Road ) Junior Commission Officer : Matric or equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Diploma in civil Engineering from a recognized Institution or Bridge and Road.

3. Havildar /Draftsman : Matric or equivalent. Diploma in the trade from a recognized institution/board preferably with 3 years experience.

4. Black Smith : Matric pass and Diploma/ITI cert from recognized institution.

5. Metal Smith : Matric or 10th class pass and diploma /ITI certificate from recognized institution.

6. Plumber : Matric or 10Th class pass nad Diploma/ITI cert from recognized institution.

7. Electrician : Matric or 10th Class pass and possess ITI cert in the grade.

Special Recruitment rally will be held at border districts of Manipur, NRS-Dimapur and Nagaland, {NRS-Dimapur} from 03 Jun 2013 onwards for enrolment to 544 vacancies (male candidates) of GD category from following border districts;

RECRUITMENT RALLY AT MANIPUR AND NAGALAND. The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the districts of Ukhrul, Chandel and Churachandpur of Manipur state and Tuensang, Kiphire, Mon and Phek of Nagaland state for the posts GD category specified against each ;

Physical Standard :
Height : 162.5 cms
Chest: 77 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). Only candidates hailing from NE States except Assam.

Physical Efficiency Test. :
(a) 5 Km run - Candidates to qualify within 24 Minutes.
(b) Only those candidates who qualify the Height Bar will be subjected to 5 Kms run to be completed within 24 minutes.
(c) NO PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST WILL BE HELD FOR EX-SERVICEMEN. HOWEVER, EX-SERVICEMEN WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS THE REQUISITE MED EXAMINATION.

Written Test :
(a) The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. The question paper will consist of 100 questions of 100 marks to be attempted in 2 hours.
(b) The question paper will be set to assess the general awareness/general knowledge of elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability of observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidates in English/Hindi.

(i) Youth from only the concerned districts will participate in the rallies. Appropriate identifications like domicile certificate, ADHAR number, Voter ID Card and Ration card etc. will be accepted.
(ii) Willing candidates will report to the nearest Assam Rifles Unit/Formation HQ for Guidance-cum-training wef : 22 Apr 2013 to 21 May 2013.
(iii) Date of reporting of candidates at nearest Assam Rifles Unit/Formation HQ to deposit of filled up application forms/Admit Cards by the candidates and receipt of the signed Admit Card at the PST& PET centres wef : 27 May 2013 to 31 May 2013.
(iv) Conduct of documentation and PST/PET wef : 03 Jun 2013 to 08 Jun 2013.
