Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up 7 posts of CONSTABLES in the pay band of Rs. 5200 - 20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules in the Motor Transport Section (Mechanical) of Sikkim Police (Civil). The reservations for various categories are as under.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS :
SKILL : Candidates must have passed course on Motor Vehicle Mechanic or related trade from ITI, Govt. of Sikkim or equivalent course from any other recognized institutions.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : Minimum class X passed from recognized board for open candidates and class VIII passed from recognized board for HG candidates.

AGE : Not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years as on 1st February, 2013.

AGE RELAXATION : In addition to the age prescribed above the candidates will be given relaxation of 5 yrs. for BL/ST/SC, 4 yrs. for MBC and 3 yrs. for OBC. Upper age limit for HG candidates are 32 yrs. for BL/ST/SC, 31 yrs. for MBC and 30 yrs. for OBC.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
(a) Height - 5’3’’ minimum for male - 5’ min. for female
(b) Chest - 32” min. with min. 2” expansion for male.
(c) Weight - 50 Kgs. min. for male - 45 Kgs. min. for female

SELECTION : The candidates are selected through the process of –
(a) Physical Measurement,
(b) Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test (PET),
(c) Written Examination &
(d) Viva-voce.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :
(a) Sikkim Subject/COI, (b) Valid local employment card, (c) ST/SC/MBC/OBC Certificate, (d) Educational qualification certificate/mark sheet, (e) Birth certificate, (f) Course Certificate from ITI and (g) NOC from Head of Department in case of Govt. servant.

PRESCRIBED APPLICATION FORMS can be obtained from the office of the Sr.SP/State Reserve Lines, PHQ, Gangtok on working days till 7th February, 2013 on production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 50/= under revenue head 0055-Police-800 other receipts.
