Notification will be given on 09th February 2013 & Access of online Application will be given on 11th February 2013 Onwards.

A Common Entrance Test designated in full as Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders and for B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Holders and in short as ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2013 will be conducted by JNT University Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for the academic year 2013-2013 in accordance with G.O.Ms.No:24 Education (EC) Department dated:18.03.2004, G.O.Ms.No:25, dated:28.06.2006 and G.O.Ms.No:19, dated: 02.02.2008 For Diploma Holders and G.O.Ms.No.57(EC2) dated:12.05.2008 & G.O.Ms.No58(EC2) dated:12.05.2008 for B.Sc.(Mathematics) degree holders.

(i) For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E. and B.Tech Courses in All India Council for Technical Education approved Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority).

(ii) For admission through Common Entrance Test into 1st year Regular BE and B. Tech Courses in University Engineering Colleges for the seats specifically earmarked for Diploma holders and B.Sc degree holders.

(iii) For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year Regular B. Pharmacy Courses in both University and private un-Aided professional institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

Mechanical Engineering:
Unit I: Workshop Technology
Basis Workshop tools and Operations (carpentry, fitting and sheet metal) Metrology – liner, angular and surface measurement – comparators. Working and operations of lathe, Drilling, Shaper, slotter, Planner, milling machines – Capstan and turret lathes – copying lathes – surface finishing operations – Honing, lapping, super finishing, electro plating, metal spraying. Basic components of NC, CNC, and DNC machines – FMS and robotics, CNC part programming- Manual and Computer assisted
Unit II: Welding, Forging, Foundry and Conventions in drawing
Equipment used in arc and gas welding. Modern welding methods – Submerged arc, atomic, hydrogen, CO2, and ultrasonic welding. Forging processes and tools - Cold and hot working processes. Pattern types – types of molding sand and their properties - Defects in casting and welding. Should I upload any certificates?

No, you do not have to upload any certificates. However, if you belong to SC / ST category, then you need to bring a photocopy copy of the Caste Certificate duly attested to the examination hall along with a copy of filled in application form and hand it over to the invigilator.

You need to upload the Photo (size < 40KB) and Signature (size < 20KB) as and when prompted by the system.

How to check my application received or not?

On successful submission of the online application form, you will immediately receive an SMS on your mobile phone with the Registration number. Further, your “Filled in Online Application form” containing all the details uploaded from database and typed by you along with Registration number and Barcode will be displayed instantly.

I am an OBC category candidate. Should I also enclose the category certificate?

OBC candidates need not submit any certificates. Only SC / ST category students have to submit their Caste Certificate duly attested along with the Filled-in Application Form to the Invigilator in the Examination hall during the ECET test. However, ALL students have to produce the Category Certificates at the time of admission.

How do I edit the filled details in Online Application?

The genuine correction can be taken to the notice of the nearby Regional Coordinator / Convener, ECET – 2013. The candidate has to carry along with him (i) Printout of submitted application (ii) Xerox copy of relevant certificate to make correction. The corrections will be entertained only during 15th to 25th April 2013.
