1st Prize : Rs. 15,000
2nd Prize : Rs. 12,000
3rd Prize : Rs. 9,000
Books from Westlaw India, Thomson Reuters and Certificates of Appreciation and shall be awarded to the top ten entries of the competition.

Guidelines :
Submissions of participants must be their own work, i.e. the submissions should not be published by or in any other publication or medium and should not be partially or substantially copied from any other prior published work of the participant or any other author without adequate reference.
Rules of formatting :
** Submissions should be in MS Word-2007 format.
** The essays must be typed in Times New Roman font, size 12 with 1.5 lines spacing and footnoting may be done in Times New Roman font, size 10.
** Word Limit- 2500-3000 words (excluding footnotes)
** Citation should be strictly in accordance with the Harvard Blue Book style, 19th Edition
Soft Copy Submission : 5th March, 2013
Hard Copy Submission : 9th March, 2013
Submission Procedure :
Participants must send their entries to gst.essay@hnlu.ac.in on or before the last date of submission. In addition to that the Participants have to send their entries in hard copy at the below mentioned address-

Entries should only be sent through Indian Post. Our University is far from the city therefore courier service is not appropriate.
The essay must be preceded by an Abstract not exceeding 200-250 word.
The first page of the submission must contain a covering letter containing details of the participant such as Name, Date of Birth, Address, Telephone Number, Email, Name and Address of College/University, Course and Academic Year.
