Job Profile & Responsibilities not limited to :
1. To start the day by inter communication with all the Sales, Marketing, Operations and logistics team to ensure smooth daily operations for the Customers, shipping lines & co-forwarders to ensure timely and safe freight movements.
2. To innovate new ideas and processes of implementing them in the system to further facilitate good services been given to the clients.
3. To be in constant touch with the MD, to report a customer history until preparation of quotation and get suggestions for adding the profit margin In each prepared quotation before sending it to the actual customers.
4. The Head of freight forwarding will be completely responsible to cater the need of the bounced quotes (quotes not approved) and personally Communicate with the customer and the lines in-order to ensure the customer receive their preferences and privileges and will re-quote as per Company policy to get the approval after receiving advice directly from the MD.
5. To communicate with the existing clients to get important leads for setting new targets for the sales and marketing team.
6. To actively participate in meetings and exhibitions related to EXIM and freight forwarding industry to hunt for new & potential clients.
7. Actively discuss each and every potential customer daily being contacted by the Sales and Marketing team, along with the operations and Logistics team to ensure understandings on the approach to customers and the targets of whole team is reached satisfactorily.
8. Plan and conduct meetings on weekly basis with the MD and the freight forwarding team to discuss on the ways to minimize the bounced Quotes and improve quality to control the minimum quality of service provided to the clients.
9. Most importantly, to keep a check on the set target and the input monthly gains on the Freight forwarding business to implement new ideas and Ways of current marketing trends and to ensure all are kept up to date.
10. To ensure a quick service is delivered to all the potential customers and ensure the team not wasting time on customers who generally take Quoted rates to breach its privacy to other forwarders and/or shipping-lines to reduce the actual prevailing market rates which generally Hampers a freight forwarders relation with the carrier and service provider.
11. In-charge of checking the entire MQC before it is submitted by the individuals in the team, consolidating the same and sending it to the MD the Very same day for weekly review.

MAJOR OPERATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Responsible for monitoring & successful execution of entire Freight Forwarding (Import / Export Shipments), Ship Management Agency, Vessel Chartering department, day to day queries from ship-owners, merchants and commercial and individual customers.

MAJOR IN-OFFICE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Directly report and responsible to the Managing Director pertaining to Business Development and giving insight on company Profits.
2. Supervising, planning and managing human resources activities in the organization in coordination with the HR Manager.

Gulf Stevedoring & Contracting Co. Ltd., Jeddah. KSA. Senior Superintendent / Shift In-charge – Terminal Operations & Stevedoring.
From 18th August 2010 to 1st December 2011. (Permanent - 1 Year 5 Months)
MAJOR OPERATIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. As Senior Superintendent – Terminal Operations & Stevedoring, looking after the safe movements of Containers which are loaded to and Discharged from, Feeders or Main Line vessel categorized as Import, Export & Trans-Shipment Containers and safely stowed in our container Stacking yard / Warehouse for Custom Inspection / Clearance and safe delivery to our Customers (Shipping Agents)
2. Assisting pilots during berthing and un-berthing of Vessels by giving the Quay details Bollard Spacing’s and positioning of Vessel alongside the Quay information by Radio. I use Software Program Navis Express 3.1 and Navis Sparcs to store all Information’s of Vessels arrival Departure and Container movements which we receive in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) from agents on pre-arrival of vessel. Also monitor The Yard Controllers / Planners getting the EDI information from Central Planner on time and decoding it as Baplie File.
3. Allotting Quay Cranes / Container Handling Equipments and Equipment Operators to vessel with best planning, to get Maximum Crane & Equipment productivity.
4. Looking after, timely & most efficient use of the Manpower & equipments available for use, to the best satisfaction of Our clients (Shipping Lines).
5. Overall in-charge of allotting the charges levied upon agents by our company as Container safety movements in Port and where ever applicable documenting the charges for demurrage.
MAJOR IN-OFFICE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. To maintain operational roster of our team of workers from sea-man, tally-hatch men, supervisors and superintendents. To ensure the daily Work roster is being followed by all personnel’s on shift basis.
2. To Ensure monthly routine checks been done on all stevedoring related equipments like RTG’s & Quay cranes by the Engineering department.
3. To ensure all the NAVIS Consoles and Systems working in order in control room by the IT department and routine checks being carried out by Them on weekly basis.
4. Ensure smooth arrival of vessel alongside quay by deploying mooring master and gang for proper guidance to the Pilots.
5. Ensuring safe berthing of the vessel as planned alongside the quay and timely arrangements of the quay cranes and Stevedoring team to Commence stevedoring operations.
6. Completely responsible for reporting to the Director of Operations & Projects – Container Terminal, and ensure timely and safe Stevedoring Operations being carried out by implementing innovative ideas amidst operation to complete before the desired Time frame to increase the Crane and equipment productivity.
7. Ensure timely discharge / loading and successful turnaround time of the vessel from docks in the interest of the ship operator By delivering our Efficient service and deploying sufficient man-power in accordance to the organization policy and Regulations.

PUNJ LLOYD Limited, INDIA. (Engineering, Procurement & Contracting) Senior Marine Communications & Logistics Officer.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Directly responsible and report to the Managing Director for all offshore commissioning of platforms, offshore pipeline Modification projects and Clamping and cementing projects carried out by offshore engineers on a day-to-day basis.
2. My duties also include, Coordination with our On-Charter Offshore –Supply-Vessels/Barges involved in our special Offshore Engineering Projects for our Principal’s “Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.”(ONGC).
3. Coordination involves timely & safe transfer of Engineers/Equipments/Materials to offshore site by using the best resourceful Means in the interest of the organization, and constant coordination with our Offshore Agents for timely and smooth Operations of our OSV’S & Barges.
4. Prepare daily work schedule for our offshore engineers and keep a track record of our daily progress report on our Offshore Project-work for Our clients.
5. Arrange timely pilot age for our On-Charter Tugs/Barges/OSV’s by coordinating with Mumbai – VTS (Harbor Control). Also keeping tracks of The movements and needs of vessels once in the harbor, and arrange for transfer of Fuel/Fresh Water etc. I

NORTRANS MARITIME SERVICES (Singapore) Bombay Division. Senior Marine Executive – Fleet Personnel Mgmt. & Logistics.
From 02th May 2009 to 2nd November 2009. (6 Months – Temporary Contract Basis)
MAJOR PAYROLL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
My duties include sourcing shipping crew (Officer’s & Rating’s) for our principal’s “The Valles Steamships (Canada) Ltd” & “Thome Ship Management (Singapore) Ltd.” for their Aframax size Crude Carriers, Panamax bulkers, VLCC/Chemical/Oil/Product Tankers, keeping the Onboard Crew Matrix in mind. My duties also include sourcing Marine/Technical staff for FSO’s, FPSO’s and oil Rig’s. Check Resumes and Short list candidates required, by Scheduling and coordinating interviews on telephone and in person, also check the authenticity of the documents submitted by the candidate. I also check the monthly portage bills received from Vessel’s and streamline errors if any by informing the accounts department and Master of the particular vessel. Communicate with air-ticketing agents and ensure smooth, efficient and cost worthy crew change. Make monthly reports of on signers and off signers and send it to The Directorate General of Shipping. We use software programs like “Ship Mate” and keep all the updates of our Crew. I undertake responsibilities given by my superiors with outmost care and satisfactorily complete the task in the given time frame by doing which I gain a moral confidence and job satisfaction.
PORT of SALALAH (Sultanate of Oman) & BOMBAY PORT TRUST, Bombay India. Port Control Tower Supervisor (VTMIS)

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES IN MARINE CONTROL TOWER (PORT OF SALALAH) :
1. Controlling the movements of Ships Inbound and outbound to Salalah port, Arranging pilot age, harbor tugs and mooring gang For Vessel During berthing and off berthing. Preparing vessel programs and Priority.
2. Coordinating with Container terminal/General cargo Terminal and agents of vessel, for efficient and smooth port Operations.
3. Preparing vessel reports, update web portal and Vessel Movement forecast—ensuring awareness of vessel movements to all Concerned parties involved in shipping/maritime affairs.
4. Routine look-out and inspection on vessels in port to check the vessel drag and requirements to change the mooring lines for Vessel safety in Port.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES IN MARINE CONTROL TOWER (INDIRA DOCKS, BOMBAY) :
1. My duties include monitoring the arrival, departure, transport of vessels, on the VTMIS System.
2. Making Related data entry and submitting daily statements, list.
3. I am required to make all data entries in the IPOS and PCS software systems.
4. I also hoist and lower storm signals red flags, etc.
5. Also I receive and Transmit signal/messages from and to any vessel and keep visual Watch in the harbor through VTMIS Screen and alert Concerned authorities in case of concern and any other duties that are assigned by my superiors.
6. I also navigate pilots/Tugs and barges calling Bombay port ensuring safe berthing and un-berthing.
7. At times of Emergency I take complete charge of inbound/outbound barge Master to bring barge / Vessel to safe waters.
DUBAI PORTS WORLD, PORT AUTHORITIES, JEBEL-ALI, UAE. Port Control Officer (Vessel Traffic Systems)
From 30th September 2002 up to 18th June 2007. (Permanent Contract - 5 Years).
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Navigation and Priorities to Vessel’s Inbound / Outbound Jebel Ali Port.
2. Use of Radar and VTS System for Navigation plotting And Identification of vessels on arrival and departure.
