Essential Qualification / Experience :
1. Spl Grade Engine Driver : Certificate of competency (Licence to act as Engineer) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act. Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory. Minimum 3 yrs experience of operating tugs from 565 BHP and above as Licence to act Engineer & should possesses knowledge of rectifying defects, overhauling and up keeping engine room or Ex-serviceman from Indian navy of engineering branch with 15 years of experience and holding Licence to act as Engineer qualified certificate from MMB/MMD.

2. Sarang : Certificate of competency (Sarang) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act. Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory. Minimum 5 yrs experience of operating passenger launch from 40 to 226 BHP or Ex-serviceman from Indian navy with 15 years of experience and holding ‘Sarang” qualified certificate from MMB/MMD.

3. Jr. Draughtsman : Must have passed SSC or equivalent examination conducted by a Board recognised by the Govt. and must have passed the “National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the Trade of ‘Draughtsman’ in Mechanical Stream conducted by NCVT of the Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India.

4. Store Keeper : Full time three years Diploma Engineering passed in Mechanical, Electrical, & Electronics by the Technical Board recognised by the Govt.with Computer Knowledge preferably in SAP.

MDL proposes to recruit Executive Trainees of following disciplines in the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) Pay Scale. These Executive Trainees will be shortlisted for Personal Interview on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers (GATE) 2014 score;
