    “City Road Guiding System with audio announcement using I2C protocol and MEMS Accelerometer”

    ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT :
    This project aims at developing an innovative system that acts as city road guiding equipment that informs the people about the city bus numbers for the places they wish to go. A unique code number has been assigned to all the places in a city. The user simply enters the two digit number, using a keypad, that represents the destination place and our system, in response, provides the information of all the bus numbers available for that particular destination with a audio announcement. The system is completely designed around an 8 bit PIC microcontroller. The database must be stored in an external memory chip. An EEPROM memory is ideally suited for this application. I2C bus is used to access the memory unit. I2C is a two wire serial protocol for communicating with IC’s. The EEPROM which has been taken has an I2C peripheral inbuilt in it which will be exploited by the PIC micro. User interface is a keypad and LCD display.
