Career Summary :
M.Sc. (Honours School in Geology) from Centre of Advance Studies in Himalayan Geology, University of Punjab, Chandigarh (UT); a competent professional with 4 decades of rich & comprehensive experience in Mine Designing (Open Cast), Production Planning, Quality Control, Geological Operations and Exploration of Minerals viz Iron Ore, Limestone, Dolomite, Diamonds, Manganese, Chrome and Coal etc. Earlier worked with National Mineral Development Corporation (A Govt. Of India undertaking) under Ministry of Steel, the largest producer of Iron Ore in the Country. Subsequently, was associated with a Public Limited Company having its Corporate Office at New-Delhi and designated as Assistant Vice-President - Resource Evaluation & New Area Development. The Responsibilities include Mineral Exploration, drilling operations, other exploratory tools required for Resource evaluation leading to mainly Pre-Mine development activities.

Demonstrated excellence in making Statutory Mining Plans to be submitted for approval of the Govt. Agency, before the grant of Mining Lease for the Mining of various Minerals. Have prepared umpteen number of Geological Reports for the minerals explored. Have expertise in filing of Prospecting License and Mining Lease applications for all the minerals. Thorough with Mining Rules viz Mineral Concession Rules 1960 and Mines and Minerals Development and Regulation Act 1988. Have a firm grip over Forest Conservation Act 1980, applicable for diversion of forest land for non-forest activities. Have a strong background of dealing with Govt. Authorities on issue related to Payment of Royalty on different Minerals produced. Have expertise in Mineral Exploration and Resource Planning.

- Exploration of Ramandurg and Kumaraswamy Iron Ore Deposits. Reserves Proved 360 MT.
- Exploration of Bailadila Deposit No. 4, District-Bastar, Chattisgarh State Reserves Proved 107 MT.

Jun’83-May’86 : Diamond Mining Project, Panna, Madhya Pradesh
Attainments :
- Diamonds Exloration at Hatupur proving an incidence of 27 carats of diamonds per 100 T of Conglomerates.
- As Diamond Valuation Officer and Manager (Sales) an average sale of Rs.10 crores annually was maintained for all the three years of tenure at Panna.

May’86-July’2000 : Limestone Deposits of Nagaur Rajasthan,Solan Himachal Pradesh & Iron Ore of Bastar
Attainments :
- Exploration, Development to Production, in a record period of two years - Chawandia Limestone Project.
- Exploration of Low–Silica Limestone of Arki, Solan Distt. Himachal Pradesh was also completed in a year and a half. The Pre-feasibility , feasibility and the Detailed Project Reports were also ready within six months of completion of the Exploration.
- Prepared Production Programme over Life of the Mine & Five year Production Programmes for large Iron Ore Mine at Bacheli (Bailadilla Complex) of Dantewada Distt. of Chattisgarh State giving an increase of 20% additional production annually which doubled its capacity over 5 years period. This was practically achieved and the profits of the Company leaped up by three times.
- Quality Control was strictly being exercised and there was no Customer Complaint, whatsoever, on quality issue.
- Statutory issues with the State Govt. were being effectively liaised.

- Jul’2000-Sep’2006 : Global Exploration Head of the Company also heading the Geology Steam of NMDC
