Subject : North Zone Inter-University Basketball (Men) Championship 2012-13.

Respected Madam/Sir,
I on behalf of CSJM University, Kanpur feel grateful to extend warm and heartily welcome to all the participating universities in the North Zone Inter-University Basketball (Men) Championship for the year 2012-13.

I am sending herewith the detailed information which may please be brought to the notice of the Managers and Coaches accompanying the teams.

Date of Tournament : 23rd to 37th February, 2013
Venue of the Tournament : University Campus, Kanpur

More information regarding the championship are given below :-
1. The tournament will be organized according to the concerned federation rules.
2. The team Managers are requested to bring with them following documents :
a) Eligibility Performa’s Quadruplicate (Four Copies) typed in and signed by the competent Authority according to the A.I.U. rules.
b) Identity cards of the participants for the current session under the signatures of competent authority as per AIU rules without any cutting or over writing.
3. Incomplete Performa will not be entertained. No over-writing is permitted on the Performa unless attested by the competent authority.
4. C.S.J.M. University is situated on G. T. Road Near Kalyanpur approximate 15 Km. from Kanpur Railway Station/ Bus Stand frequent Tempo (Vikram),Taxi, Auto Rickshaws etc. are easily available on both places. Rs. 15/- per person is the normal higher charges of Tempo (Vikram).
5. C.S.J.M. University is well known place. Reception booth will be installed at Kanpur Central Railway Station, so all the teams are here by advised to report at the reception booth and come at Boys Hostel as per schedule fixture (encl.) one day before your 1st Match.
6. The venue of the accommodation and tournament are within the campus.
7. A Meeting of all the Managers and Coaches of the Basketball (Men) teams will be held on 2/2/2013 by 4:00 p.m. Managers and Coaches are requested to attend this meeting where all the necessary instructions will be given. Eligibility Performa of the team (Four Copies) will be collected at the time of the meeting.
8. The teams and the team Managers will be accommodated in the C.S.J.M. University Campus. For the accommodation, the team Manager/in charge should contact the Accommodation Committee at the time of arrival.
9. Accommodation will be provided only one day prior to their 1st match and teams shall have to vacate it immediately or within 24 hours of the last match. Please do not send your team earlier.
10. All the team should participate in the team introduction with the Chief Guest with their university flag on the inauguration day of tournament.
11. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make any change in the programme, if necessary. The decision of the committee shall be final & binding.
12. The teams will bring with them their own bedding and locks.
13. Unfurnished accommodation shall be provided by the host university.
14. Manager of the team will have to deposit Rs. 1,000/- as Security (Refundable).
15. The team shall pay an officiating charge @ Rs. 1000/- per match.
16. Team Managers will be fully responsible for their players to maintain discipline in the C.S.J.M.University Campus.
17. Any use of liquor, drug and smoking in the university campus and at the tournament venue are strictly prohibited.
