Project Description This project aims to provide the energy reduction measures in the melting shop of the foundry dept., TATA MOTORS
We know that foundry is one of the most energy intensive units amongst various engineering industries. Electricity, coke, fuel oils, are extensively used in the foundries. Because of the steep rise in their costs, which is inevitable, the need for energy management is now felt much more than before in this millenium.
Energy efforts in industrial sector have been taking place owing to strong linkage between cost of production and energy usage. The energy saving measures in the melting shop are elaborated in this project would be certainly beneficial to Foundry Industry in formulating strategies for tackling various issues related to efficient energy management in the next millenium.

ACHIEVEMENTS :
