Job Description
-Management and implementation of the Corrosion Control Strategy covering the corrosion monitoring inspection activities including annual and where applicable monthly reporting, corrosion status of systems and significant trends from surveys.
-Interpretation of corrosion /inspection monitoring data in the database and recommending changes to the corrosion criticality analysis/RBI outputs and monitoring/inspection programme where appropriate.
-Ensure all relevant data is entered into the database by the Data/ACET support.
-Ensuring that Oceaneering Asset interfaces between functional areas e.g. wells, topside, pipelines, Sub Sea, structures are maintained with respect to corrosion monitoring and inspection. In particular, interface with chemical contractor.
-Co-coordinating failure investigations into material problems in accordance with approved failure investigation procedure.
-Participating in the regular review of Corrosion Control Matrices and key performance indicators.
Desired Candidate Profile
-Degree qualified in engineering related discipline, preferably chartered status or corporate member of a learned institution.
-Post graduate qualifications in Corrosion Engineering preferred.
-Minimum 10 years in the field of corrosion engineering.
