Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-Interview with all relevant documents for 4 (Four) position of Jr. Research Fellow (on contractual basis) to work in the project “Extraction and purification of marine bio-molecules and their derivatives for nutritional and industrial application” funded by the MLR Technology Development (MLR-TD) under the Marine Living Resources Program (MLRP). The duration of the project is five years (2012-17).

Qualification : Post Graduate degree in First Class in the discipline Biochemistry/Chemistry/Fishery Science (Post harvest Technology) or related fields with NET qualification.

Desirable :
** Experience in operations of modern analytical instruments like GC, HPLC, AAS etc.
** Knowledge in Computer applications

Age limit (as on 23.01.2013) :
Men : Below 35 years
Women : 40 years

i) Candidates are required to submit attested copies of all the Certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/OBC etc. The original certificates shall be produced for verification before the interview.

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-Interview with all relevant documents for 1 (One) position of Sr. Research Fellow, 1 (One) position of Jr. Research Fellow & 1 (One) position of Field/Technical Assistant (on contractual basis) to work in the project “Retrieval of phytoplankton biomass and associated optical constituents based on long term bio optical studies” funded by the INCOIS, Ministry of Earth Sciences. The duration of the project is four years (April, 2013 to March, 17).

ii) Two years Research experience in phytoplankton identification, species diversity analysis, size fractionation and its biooptical studies. Must be willing to go onboard frequently in commercial traditional canoes, fishing boats and fishery research vessels.

Qualification : M. Sc. Chemical Oceanography/Physical Oceanography / Hydrochemistry/ Marine Chemistry. Must be willing to go onboard frequently in commercial traditional canoes, fishing boats and fishery research vessels.
Desirable : Experience in data collection onboard fishery research vessels, estimation of bio optical characteristics of chlorophylls and seawater, satellite data retrieval validation and remote sensing.

3.Name of the post : Field/Technical Assistant

Fellowship : Rs.12,000/-
Qualification : B.F. Sc. / B. Sc. Chemistry/ Fisheries / Zoology. Candidate must be willing to go onboard frequently in commercial traditional canoes, fishing boats and fishery research vessels for sampling and to undergo strenuous field work.
Desirable : Knowledge of computer
