Ministry of Earth Sciences is looking for eligible candidates to fill up the following posts to work in its programme on Seismicity and Earthquake Precursor.

1.Name of the post : Project Scientist ‘C’
No. of post : 01 (One)
Age limit as on closing date : 35 years
Consolidated Emoluments per month (Rs.) : 38,000/-
Essential :
(i) Master’s Degree in Geology/ Geophysics/Seismology with first class (60%) from a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) 5 years experience in teaching (at graduate/post graduate level) or research and development in seismology / earthquake related studies supported by scientific publications.
Desirable :
(i) Doctorate Degree in the relevant subject or area of specialization
(ii) Exposure to seismological/ geophysical instrumentation, analysis of data and their interpretation and implementation of R&D projects.

How to Apply :
i) Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend a walk-in-interview at MoES from 10:00 AM onwards as per the scheduled indicated against each. The post of Personal Assistant will be filled through skill test followed by interview.

ii) Registration will start on the interview date from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM No candidate will be allowed to attend interview after Registration time. Interviews will start from 10:00 AM onwards.

I am Rahul Sharma, aged 22 years from Surat. I have completed my B.Tech in petroleum engineering from PDPU, Gandhinagar in 2012 and presently working with one of the PSU company (GACL) of gujrat govt as Graduate Trainee Engineer. As I have studied geo-physics in my petroleum engineering, I intend to pursue my career in earth sciences. Kindly let me know if any scope is there for me in this field.
