Job Description
The candidate should have Techno-commercial background and experience in implementation of large size Thermal Power Plants from concept to commissioning He should have overall idea of Engineering, Planning & Scheduling and execution of the Plant, monitoring site progress, cost control, resource planning and utilization, Negotiating skills both with the client and vendors. He should ensure the deliverables within the cost and time frame set forth.

Experience in execution of Project and Construction management of Coal/gas based Power Plants of 210 / 500 MW and above, in the areas of
(i) “Erection & Commissioning” of Boiler, Turbine & Auxiliaries with associated heavy structures, high pressure Alloy Steel piping involving P-91/P-92 materials. Exposure to welding techniques/entities including Radiography and knowledge of IBR and other International Codes and Standards is a must.
(ii) Implementation and Construction Management of Balance of Plant viz., Coal and Ash Handling plants, Cooling Towers, DM and Water Treatment Plants, Heavy Duty Pumps and Compressors, Air Conditioning, large dia and low pressure piping, Plant electricals viz. Switchgears, Transformers, cabling etc. and Plant Instrumentation systems including DCS.

Project1 : Simulation of Chopper controlled separately exicited DC Motor

Description :
In this project, DC motor speed is controlled by an IGBT chopper in armature and field circuits. The performance of the machine is also observed using MATLAB/SIMULINK. In Generally Torque in the DC motor can be controlled by armature current ia and speed is controlled by the field current if these two parameters can be controlled independently. DC drives are currently popularly used in many applications where wide variation of speed control in both forward and backward is very much essential.

Project2 : : power quality improvement in distribution system by using d-statcom in a transmission lines

Description :
This project presents the enhancement of voltage sags, harmonic distortion and lowpower factor using Distribution Static Compensator (D-STATCOM) with LCL Passive Filter in distribution system. The model is based on the Voltage Source Converter (VSC) principle.
The D-STATCOM injects a current into the system to mitigate the voltage sags.LCL Passive Filter was then added to D-STATCOM to improve harmonic distortion and low power factor
