Main activities and Responsibilities :
- Ensure that preventive maintenances of A.C, DG, and Battery bank, SMPS, Stabilizers, and UPS, as per defined intervals.
- Verification of contractor works /Vendor works.
- Monitor/review/evaluate performance of operational support engineers/Field technicians
- Ensure installation of all energy improvement utility equipments such as fan filters, Fuel optimizers , Fitch catalyst etc & monitor the energy improvements as per the plan
- Diesel filling, electricity bill verification, fuel verification.
- Self development plan.
- Ensure adherence to HR rules & regulations
- Ensuring & facilitating accident-free operation
- Review of all power & fuel bills, site wise analysis , corrective actions
- Review of expenses of my areas include house keeping, facility maintenance & optimize vehicle usage.
- Project activities – up gradations of equipments as per business needs.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE : getting electrical preventive maintenance done by vendors & down lines every month every sites
ALARMS TESTING : checking all external alarms by extending to FMC
FUEL CONSUMPTION CHECKING : checking fuel consumption which sites consume more than rated rated value.
DIESEL FILLING FOLLOUP : filling the diesel to every sites after every week by Field engineers & technicians and maintaining proper records of bills.
B – CHECK & C Check activity : getting b- check done by vendors, after every 250 run hours & C check after every 6000 hours.
COLLECTING MONTHLY READINGS : every month on 30th collecting readings of dg run hours, like Taco & Controller, KWh, EB & diesel levels.
COLLECTING EQUIPEMENT STATUS REPORT : collecting on 25th every month every site every equipment status report when it’s become faulty and when rectified
CHECKING BATTERY BACK UP : checking of battery backup every month by technicians every month whether any cells became faulty.
MAINTAINING VENDORS : follow up with AC (air conditioner), DG & voltage stabilizers vendors for Preventive maintenance & rectification of A/C, DG & voltage stabilizers every day.
PM FOLLWING UP LIKE : AC (air conditioner), DG, Battery bank, SMPS, it panel, AMF panel, voltage stabilizers, Security systems, engine & alternators, earth resistance of all sites.
ELECTRICITY BILLS & DD’S : following up with the vendor for collection of EB Bills & payment of the same to avoid EB disconnections.
Key Responsibilities.
- Reports to cluster lead.
- Accountable for performance of the technicians.
- responsible for the adherence of process on the field
- Should be technically sound to understand the problem and try to solve over phone.
- Always keep a track of statuary requirements like EB bill deposit, pollution control board payment etc, site owner rent & diesel bills
- Identify the technician’s weakness in technical competence and educate him to improve.
- In case technicians not able to rectify the problem guide him over telephone to rectify and thus identify his lack of knowledge and educate him.
- New recruits to be trained with in the time frame decided.
- Analyzing repeated faults and take necessary action to rectify the root cause of fault.
- If there are problems in the equipments, which are not falling under the first level of breakdown maintenance, escalate the same to project manager in time and follow up with the third party vendor till the snag is rectified.
- Ensure Technicians carry out PM every month properly and the readings are recorded in the given format and forward the same to project manager for documentation and further necessary action.
- Ensure diesel availability in all sites of his zone.
- Ensure all the Technicians are having proper keys and maintain a register of handing over or taking over of keys in case any body resigns or on long leave.
- Keep a track of tools, keys and other supportive materials provided to technician and make the accountable for any loss.
- Before taking over sites proper audit should be conducted of his particular zone & should be documented with the customer present at the time of taking over in the given format.
- Ensure his visit once in a month to the entire site under him, preferably on the day of preventive maintenance.
- Verification of all vendor bills.
- Arranging vendors PO/WO within committed time for avoiding delay of the work

- Regularly planning on reduction of opex & capex of the all sites in my zone
- following up with technicians if any external alarm is not cleared within 45 minutes
- Enlisting new vendors
- Requesting for materials & spares to the office.


Reduced Power consumption : by using fuel optimizers,time delay to automation, modification of dg controller by giving loop signal from SMPS, fan filters, exhaust fans, & Automatic light controller 30 % of power consumption has reduced.
