The Institute of Microbial Technology, a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, wishes to recruit Research Associate/SRF /Project Assistant on temporary basis to work in DBT funded projects in this Institute as per details given below. Apart from the candidate selected in the project, a panel will be made, which will be operative for a maximum period of one year from the date of interview or another interview is conducted by the Institute for recruitment of similar positions in future, whichever is earlier.

1.Name of the post : Research Associate

Stipend : Rs. 22,000/-plus HRA @20%
Age limit : 35 years as on 08.01.2013
Essential Qualification : PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Genetic Engineering, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Animal Sciences, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Chemical Sciences/Environmental Science, with sufficient working experience in Immunology/Molecular Biology/peptide synthesis.
Desirable : Practical experience in handling small experimental animals, mammalian tissue culture, working with pathogens like Mycobacterium tuberculosis, computational biology and sufficient exposure of analytical/ immune clinical techniques.


2.Name of the post : Research Associate

Stipend : - Rs. 22,000/-plus HRA @20%
Age limit : - 35 years as on 08.01.2013
Essential Qualification : Ph.D with specialization in Organic synthesis or Chemistry of Natural Products.
Desirable : Asymmetric synthesis, total synthesis of natural molecules, structure elucidation of natural products.
