Recruitment of Constables(GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles , 2013

Staff Selection Commission will make recruitment to the posts of Constable (GD) in ITBPF, BSF,CISF,CRPF and SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

Name of the post : Constable, CAPF Rifleman
Total Post : 22006
Pay Scale : Pay Band – I, Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

Mode of Selection :
1. Physical Standards Test (PST) :
a) Height : For Males : 170 cms. For Females : 157 cms.
b) Chest : For males only – Unexpanded : 80 cms. Expanded : Min expansion 5 cms.
c) Weight : For males and Females : Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) :
Race :
For Male candidates : 5 Kms in 24 minutes.
For Female candidates : 1.6 Kms in 8 ½ minutes

3. Written Examination :
The candidates qualifying in PST/PET will be called for a Written Examination. Though the Commission will endeavour to accommodate the candidates in centres opted by him / her, it may combine the centres or divert the candidates to other centres, depending on administrative convenience.

4. Medical Examination :
i) The selected candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical and medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibility conditions.
ii) Medical Test (X-Ray & laboratory) shall be conducted only for such candidates who are found fit after initial medical examination.

FEE : RUPEES FIFTY ONLY(R 50.00) payable through CRF Stamp or SBI Challan or on-line payment through account with the State Bank of India.

AGE LIMITS : 18-23 years as on 01.01.2013.
Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.1995.

i) Off-line applications : Application form can be downloaded from the website.
The candidates should pay the fee of s 50/- (s Fifty only) by means of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)"only

ii) On-line applications :
The facility of submitting online applications is available on http://ssconline.ssc.nic.in and http://ssconline2.gov.in. The candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of challan or net-banking.

Candidates have to pay fee in the shape of CRFS.

Mode of Selection : Candidates fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications will be shortlisted on the basis of their educational qualifications, academic records, percentage of marks etc. or through a screening test at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates, thus, selected may be required to undergo a written proficiency test wherever applicable/required or considered necessary by the Commission at its discretion. The Commission holds discretion to fix different qualifying standard for different categories in the proficiency test wherever applicable. Candidates qualified on the basis of merit of proficiency test if any held, would be required to appear at the interview. Final select list would be prepared in order of merit as disclosed by the aggregate marks(marks of Proficiency Test wherever applicable and interview) finally awarded to each candidate taking into account the number of vacancies advertised and in that order so many candidates as are found suitable by the Commission would be recommended.
