Job Description
Candidate should have 8-10 years of experience in design and engineering of Transmission line towers, Hardware and accessories upto 400 KV level. Experience in sub-station design will be an added advantage.

The Project
TUL(Teesta Urja Ltd.) a company incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956 and having its Registered office at 119 Jorbagh, New Delhi – 110003 is setting up a 1200 MW Teesta-III Hydro Electric Project, in North Sikkim. POWERGRID is the Central Transmission Utility and is, interalia, engaged in the business of construction, operation and maintenance of EHC-AC and HVDC transmission lines, sub-stations, Load dispatch centres and communication facilities for inter-state / inter-regional power exchange and efficient Grid operation. Teestavalley Power Transmission Limited (“TPTL”), the Joint Venture Company wherein POWERGRID would hold 26% of the issued and subscribed equity and the balance equity of 74% shall be contributed by TUL, is a Special Purpose Vehicle incorporated to undertake business of establishing, commissioning, setting up, operating and maintaining both dedicated and common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Teesta-III Power Project at / near Mangan in Sikkim.
The transmission system i.e. i) Teesta – III to Mangan pooling station with 400 kV D/C, Quad Moose conductor (dedicated transmission portion to Teesta –III generating station) and ii) Mangal pooling station to new pooling station at Kishanganj with 400 kV D/C, Quad Moose conductor shall be implemented through TPTL. The project is likely to be commissioned by July 2011 to match with the commissioning of the generating station.
